Mate last season we weren’t even turning over the teams in our league and were a shambles , in 7 months we’ve started turning over every team domestically, won the first trophy into last 8 of the other and 3 points clear of a Huns team that went the previous season undefeated in the league and won it by about 30 points,
Maybe I’m easy pleased but I’ll * take that in a heartbeat, in the state we were in aswell we took 9 points in our europa league game s in a really tough group and went toe to toe with betis home and away and toe toe with Leverkusen in Germany

aye results last 2 games bit disappointing but really couldn’t care less about it

Strange one, worse than Real Betis and Leverkusen. Would have thought AZ were a better team. But Bodo were impressive in Europa and so well organised. Coach will be poached soon by a bigger league as has been speculated

What this game and also others in Europe have identified for me is that we really need a very mobile athletic and strong defensive minded midfielder.

We cannot play attacking football unless we have someone at the base that can steal the ball or can intercept passes and break up play. We are far too open to a counter attack and decent teams will have a field day against us. We need more athleticism across the midfield and back line especially in full back positions.

Hope AP is taking a good look at the Scandinavian leagues after these games as well. A lot of good players to be had, for good prices.

We badly need some better athletes in our side to improve our physicality. We could do worse than look at teams who play the way we are trying to implement and signing a couple of their players.

Bodo/Glimt are one team, Solbakken, Hagen, Vetlesen and Sampstead are all players who would fit our profile of buy for a modest fee and would instantly bring some of what we need. Vetlesen is probably the only one that would cost a bit.

Silkeborg in Denmark are another team who have a core of young hard working, athletic players like Sebastian Jorgensen, Nicolai Vally, Tobias Salquist and Rasmus Cartensen. Would all be interesting players. Salquist would be a good buy as a left sided centre back that can come out with the ball.

Aye but after last week, we were then going away from home where the odds of us overturning it were stacked against us. Ange has then looked at it with the view that the league is priority and doesn’t want to risk injuries. So he has learned from his mistakes in that regard. If that result was to happen a year down the line, I’d be furious. At his stage though, given what he inherited, I’m not getting too hung up on the games against Bodo. Results do have to improve in Europe, no doubt about it, this just come too quick for us.

Definitely mate , a freezing cold night and pitch where had he risked likes of CCV, jota juranovic and they ended up with injury, people be saying “ should never have risked them in a fairly meaningless game like he did with kyogo in the betis “

We won't get far in Europe till we get a good defence coach in and we are losing the same goals since Rogers time and we keep hearing Kennedy is not the defence coach so who the * is it and we have been losing soft goals in Europe since Rogers time in charge and Kennedy was there at the time also .

we lose five goals in Europe while another team is scoring 5. I'm not so sure out 3 point lead is going to last very long.

At least you kept the score down today. But Celtic winning the league? I am not sure. Rangers could be the better team. They have started well against Dortmund. But I do think the germans will score some goals here. Not over.

Only saw 2nd half thought we were ok but we do look so poor defensively in Europe especially.

Not too fussed tbh but Scandinavian teams have our number without a doubt. Too organised and fitter, stronger.

You're still trying to justify it - I think I've just got higher standards. Especially against teams who supposedly have the budget of Aberdeen.

It's not even as if we were "trading blows" with them (the minimum) . We got turned over.

Football doesn’t get decided on budgets. If you have a good recruitment team, a good manager, and players who are willing to buy into the manager’s philosophy, you will be a decent outfit. That’s something we haven’t had for a few years, and something Bodo clearly have had for a number of years.

Not reading too much into tonight's game.

B/G were the better team in both legs, regardless of who was playing, and even before last week there was a degree of recognition that Europe this season is a good testing ground, but the priority was absolutely in all matters domestic this season. From the perspective about being realistic going into tonight, there was a degree of pragmatism about the team that was put out there tonight. If we manage to get a lead with half hour to play, then have the option to go to the bench and see about going from a second from there, but just as important was the recognition that tonight was always going to be a long shot and no point going all out when there are bigger and more important matters closer to home that have to be dealt with on the domestic scene.

Shock horror - playing in the friggin Arctic Circle on an artificial pitch, against an opponant that are undefeated in all competitions they've been in since the beginning of August, who are well drilled and organized by a manager who had basically 2 months to work out a gameplan and drill it in, and likely it will be the same with whoever B/G face next, as they still won't have domestic league games for a while yet to have to think about.

This talk about budget needs to do one.

Honestly. Even if bodo have the same budget as an Aberdeen look at the clear * difference in the quality it produces. Not a single Aberdeen player makes their 11. Look at how bodo develop and build a team. Their manager, their whole system.

Budget similar to Aberdeen? So * what. They are clearly a class outfit

To think McGregor isn't good enough for us in Europe is up absolutely bewildering, and it's not the first time you've came out with an outrageous opinion.

No need to take it so personal, suck it up and move on.

To surrender before kick-off is unacceptable! It's a lack of respect towards the fans not to at least give it a fight.

Was happy enough to be at the game last week and what we had to watch in these games is how the Bodo manager outsmarted Ange. His use of his wingers and their pressing has made us looking like kids. And they even haven't started the season. Have we ever looked that fit at the start of a season?

To Ange's defence he only had half a season and he did well. So I don't blame him too much. But he hasn't managed to put us up for the game like agsinst the huns.

What the games show is how bad we're still run as a club. How much smaller is Bodo's budget? And they outplayed us because they're a better run club which gets much more out of its limited ressources. Once again we have been knocked-out by an inferior club. We need to set up our club professionally and support Ange! We won 9 times the league, struggled often in Europe and just kept everything like it was, pretending the league is enough. * you Lawwell!
