    The defence needs to improve.

We must have conceded a good 80% or so of our goals domestically from set pieces surely?

Thats a concern. Definitely think a more athletic, taller CB would help. Jullien would but he's not fit.

I would have to think your probably close with that stat. But there is no question set piece defending is our achillies heel. Jullien would be a massive help but lets face it he is unlikely to play much of a role in the final 11 league games due to him still being in the building up fitness and match sharpness phase of his recovery. So we simply have to work on improving our set piece defending at practice with the current personal.

Surely the secret to defending set pieces is staying alert and moving.

We're like * statues. People need to patrol particular zones and make sure they compete if the ball is in that zone. Just competing makes it harder for the attacker but we stand around staring at each other wondering which * else is gonna do something.

And always defend the far post.

I think the Huns have lost as many goals to set pieces domestically as us.It’s what the rest of the league do as it’s their best chance of scoring. We really need to spend time on the issue and get away from the notion that if we play the way we do with the high press that it will guarantee us the win every time.Julien back would definitely give us more of an advantage defending set pieces and gets the odd goal at the other end too.Needs game time soon.

When you leave Jota and McGregor and hatate and Abada out your just thinking about Sunday and not giving a * about this game .

Maeda terrible , forrest worse , Bitton slow and can't play on this pitch , rogic a man down , is o Riley even on , starfelt dangerous.......... to us , scales lost ,ralston in a daze , its the worst by far I think I've seen against a semi decent side , we look petrified, and are not moving the ball fwd fast enough.

Poor performance but quite obviously wrote the game off with no Carter- Vickers, Juranovic, McGregor, Hatate, Abada and Jota. To be honest it is what it is and Ange has prioritised. Still am far from convinced with Maeda.
