Surely if his face was fractured and he was in discomfort, he wouldn't have that mask on...which looks fairly tight and would be aggravating..

Big Oluwayemi doesn't even have one on which tells the story..

You sure you did? Looks like 6 of 1 and a half dozen of the other.

Currently 2-0 up against Hearts, and I am outraged so many of the first 11 are on the pitch!

    Point missed again.

If it's not sarcasm, I'm worried.

Looked promising, when the camera went on him at one point he was chewing gum. If it was that bad he wouldn't have been doing that, if there was more damage done I think more of his face would be black and purple. Ryan Christie looked far worse when he got a similar injury.

We missed him during certain periods of that game.

Was particularly evident first 20 mins, for me. I know I shouldn't but I burst out laughing at that pic of him :giggle1:

Calmac has been a 100% player a genuine role model for Celtic and any young player.

But optimistic he will not be as badly missed as some fear, because we have several decent options for attacking midfielders. & that's what Calmac most effectively is.

For me he never was or will be a proper stopper defensive midfielder in the Broony sense, yet he seems to have accepted or has been asked to do exactly that as his main role.
Since Broony got too old to cover left right & center & not giving anyone a inch, we have not replaced him and a main reason why we are nervously riding luck a bit too much late on in matches, despite all our possession & forward dominance.

Have no doubt Reo could do the role (and kind of currently is doing it all over for 70 mins) but he'd be a mad waste, as he looks another level altogether making things happen going forward.

Duffy, Julien, Boyata have all looked as dodgy as often as Starfelt did early doors.
Don't think it will make much difference who we have in defense while we miss a out & out 90 mins stopper like Broony or Roy Keane (pre Celtic) type in the middle, that just does not allow opposition time to knock it about midfield, at any time.

Disagree with your 2nd para there.

An attacking midfielder is rogic. Mcgregor isn't that. Not anymore at least.

What we missed tonight for numerous spells was someone dropping deep, spinning on it and keeping the tempo moving. Yes he isnt a defensive midfielder in the truest sense but he excels in that role in front of the defence.

Hes a miss for us, we are always gonna be a lesser side without him IMO. The main thing is we have options to hopefully cope.
