Even Rafael Scheidt must have made One single good pass or something. Barkas has made ONE save in his Celtic career and its hard even accepting that he is a professional footballer. By far the worst keeper i have seen in my 36 years.

 

Any money recovered from this is a bonus. Needs to go. Still puzzled at his positioning at the West Ham goal in the friendly. Punt.

It's not even a one off. Latest in a long list of wasted money and no one every held accountable for it. Fans just shrug their shoulders and hope for better next time.

They don't see that you can actually spend money wisely. Haggling over £100k for McGinn, letting Fletcher move south when we needed a striker, getting Ajeti over Toney because he was the cheaper option. There's countless times where we have been suicidal in the transfer market. One every window at least nowadays.

We bought the wrong AEK goalie. His uncapped, countryman Giorgos Athansiadis, was saving balls with his face yesterday as Sheriff Tiraspol won at the Bernabau.

At 10 grand a week, I've got no sympathy for Barkas. He's got enough money to pay for a therapist to remind him that he was a professional goalkeeper, that played for his country and cost us £3.5-5m euros.

Possibly our most expensive goalkeeper transfer fee in history.

 

The irony of coming to that conclusion about Athanasiadis based off of one game……
