Did you know when the board interviewed him they asked him where he was born. He said “Athens, I’m Athenian”. The board said “great the job is yours”.

Why do everyone call him Australian if he was born in Greece?

It was scary watching Brisbane play like this but when he brought in the right players they just passed teams to death. The other team when they got the ball just cleared it back and Brisbane then resumed the attack and goals

Because he grew up there and played for Australian national team. Clearly he identifies himself Australian

1993 isn’t a yardstick on which to measure us by. Or at least it certainly shouldn’t be given that we were absolutely light years ahead of our rivals on a few years ago, and had the strongest advantage any team in Scottish football history has had over the rest of the competition.

Can someone shine a light on this guy because I’ve not seen anything to tell me he’s a winner. Or he’s better than what we had. Went from Rodgers to this * show in a couple of years.

There's tons of info, vidoes and interviews that are easy to find. Better looking him up yourself and forming your own opinion on the guy.

Of course there's a reason they're cheaper. That was exactly my point.

Two players of exactly equal ability - one's wearing a Spanish shirt and the other's wearing an Australian shirt - very different valuations.

These are players who didn't make it after having a crack. I was responding to a comment about players coming home "at the first sign of adversity". Kind of a difference.

I don't think it's a case of who has the better CV, the main idea behind Postecoglou's appointment is that he's supposed to be a great motivator and tactician, with a solid footballing philosophy. All things that we sorely lacked last season under Lennon.
