sorry mate but i thought the job of a striker was to make goals or score them and from what i saw he made no successful attempt of making OR scoring

agree with that. Balde and OD messed the goal up bad but no doubt people will chose to put all the blame on Brown. Balde is an athlete but he is never a footballer. Every time he passed it he gave it away and he was mince in defence too. OD looked niave a couple of time and was most to blame for the goal. I agree, Mick and Caldwell are our 1st picks on merit even if they are not worldbeaters. They at least have some sort of understanding.

I thought we were the better side in the 1st half without being great and they edged the 2nd. When we went a goal down we managed to get a few freekicks in their half which is the norm in a football match. I wouldn't say we looked more like a football team anyway.

Sorry I'm just not a fan of his mate.

He was solid. I dont think he is a great goalie (OK technique but no presence IMO) but the guy has been getting so much abuse here and yet he has barely been to blame for anything in his time with us. Maybe could have dont better with one CL goal but he has done OK for us. I hate the way a lot of fans have to have 2 or 3 whipping boys at all time (just stick to Naylor who really does deserve it:icon_mrgreen:)

i think bobo got a shout to leave the ball by od who then fooked it up i would not blame bobo on the goal. still good in the air and a bombscare on the deck.
had a right oul chuckle at donati with the sliding tackle went right through the player and the ball and still didnt touch either, also sprinted the whole of about 5 yards didnt think he had it in him

quite true mate how many players have got the blame of that goal?
even when players have a good game they can't shake the stigma

he was probably aiming for the top left though:56:

He can header the ball but he is unbelievably bad with his feet and is useless in a team that is very much based on possession at all costs like WGS's team are. I can 100% understand why WGS doesnt play him even if he is good in the air.

I'm not a big fan of Brown either so far but his handling and the great stop he made in the 2nd half was quite impressive.
As for the LB situation, we really do need to get at least one in place soon. Wilson doesn't look any better there than Naylor. Not even sure about Hinkel yet either. At least we don't have a Broadfoot:icon_mrgreen:

OD'S fault for the goal no question, what did brown do wrong all game? All in all a poor performance but what do you expect its pre season and celtic, the two dont mix!

Will sound * but hopefully the O'Dea and Balde lovers and McManus and Caldwell haters will settle down a wee bit after that.

Other than that a typical pre season half paced football match.
