Celtic or Irish pubs in Oz

Hi I will be going round Australia backpacking for a year and wondered if anyone knows any good Irish or Celtic pubs in Oz.

O'Malley's in the Queen Street Mall is the home of the officail Brisbane Celtic Supporters Club in Queensland. Make j

 

Pressed the wrong button there, make sure you get to O'Malley's, they show all the games on Setanta. I used to watch them there, but you can now get Setanta in your Foxtel package here. So I usually sit up and watch them at home. There is a big Celtic support in Brisbane, you can also go to the Irish Association which is just around the corner from the pub. There are 3 Irish Pubs in the centre and one British pub. There are a couple of Pig & Whistles but they are pretty *, better in the Irish pubs.

 

In Sydney you could go to PJ O'Brien's. Paddy Maguire's on George Street is where the official Sydney CSC is. The Mercantile up in The Rocks is packed to the rafters every Sunday for a singing session, it's great craic, and you're guaranteed to meet somebody there.
