Johnie ya bass you know I can't tell the difference between a merganser and a gooseander :56: still can't get my head round the difference and indeed this camera is built for summer with good lighting it comes into it's own but * in low light or cloudy weather plumping for merganser hope I'm right :drag:

I'm already buzzing, I know they have thrived in Hyde park London to the point there now pests, over breeding and eating the local birds, yeah having mine for a good while I kind of know the habits, likes/dislikes I know sliders (cooters) are more temperate and can survive in cooler climates would never had guess here in Scotland tho, amazing creatures,
Aye that be great Thank you very much

I went for an early morning walk yesterday to see if i could photograph a nice sunrise, i wasn't disappointed, it was stunningly beautiful and not a ripple on the loch, i got a bit snap happy and took over 200 pictures, i went out even earlier this morning around( 6.40 am) but it was overcast and dull, i don't think i took a dozen pics as it was extremely quiet, but still it was nice to get out for an early walk.

@cas79 it's amazing with the terrapins in the canal in our area, seemingly they submerge themselves in a almost hibernation like state and it must work cause they appear year after year :) I get very excited when I see them but I try to be discreet when taking pictures cause the canal is full of folk on bike's, no happy about the traffic on the canal since lockdown :thumbsdow

I saw this Mink sitting on a jetty before it swam over to the rocks for a sniff around.

Aye sure is I wonder if there breeding too, Brumation it's called they slow the heart down and don't move much at all, if you brake the ice above they will breath the air and die the poor things loads of people do it thinking there helping out, yeah they are very shy and skitterish, they will bolt at the first bit of noise or vibration,
mine is more like a dog comes begging for food all the time them moves all his decor about when he doesn't get his way

That was a 50/50 guess from me Sioux, i wouldn't know the difference either. There's probably settings on your camera you can change to get the best of low light, does your camera have Manual settings?
