100% I don't think he can walk away because that's not how he is. The board are letting him be the scapegoat and totally taking advantage of him.

He needs to go but I'll always remember everything he done for us

Just taking a step back...how the * did it get to this point? I’m still struggling to grasp just how epic a * up this season has been. Mistake following error following lack of planning following poor judgement following negligence. Scunnered man.

    Video Celts?

That the creep who was told to stay away from our youth games and stop trying to be pals with the young players?

“Video Celts understands that the club is ready to go for an in-house solution to buy the board some breathing space.”

    —————————————————————-

“We are reporting as ordered (by the PLC) and the board are scared shitless about Season Ticket renewal uptake for next season. Getting rid of Lennon will hopefully appease the paying supporters in the immediate weeks while they think of a permanent solution. Kennedy will be cheap, plus he knows the club (and city) until an even cheaper option can be found for the longer term. HH

We had tickets for the game against Thistle that day. Got into the ground but they were in the process of upgrading the stadium and had those plywood boards at the back of the terracing and loads of Tim’s were getting pulled over the boards and into the terracing. :giggle1:

Still wasn’t annoyed at paying though. Phil absolutely ran the show that day, scored a couple of goals and just dominated the middle of the park.

Everyone left that day convinced he was a star in the making and he would have been but for the injuries.

A huge loss to Celtic through injury and a massive loss to friends and family with untimely passing.

That’s a bit of a claim. I hope you aren’t insinuating what you seem to be insinuating. Can you provide more information?

What has Kennedy shown (or learnt) under Lennon that now qualifies him to be the permanent or interim manager of Celtic?

Not that I want Kennedy as manager, interim or otherwise, but I always find it amusing that he gets pelters for * that goes wrong but I don’t think he once got praise for being a coach under Rodgers.

If it’s the guy that used to go to our youth games then he was supposedly told to stop trying trying to be pals with the younger players.

Tweeting them, trying to get interviews, acting as if he knew them etc.

We can only speculate about his coaching ability, but he must bear some responsibility for the complete lack of organisation, tactics, and player development that we have witnessed this season.

He was, apparently, unqualified for the position a little under two years ago, when his stock was at its highest. I would be astonished if he has improved significantly as a coach in the interim.

In any case, I think that he ought to prove himself as a manager at another club before he gets a look-in at Celtic. The danger of appointing him on an interim basis is that the board would be only too happy to hand him the job on a permanent basis if he treaded water until the end of the season.

    If, supposedly etc.

Basically you are just * into the wind?

That initial post was loaded with innuendo mate. Maybe back it up before posting * that comes across as dodgy?

Rodgers wanted to take him to Leicester apparently.

He has always been a fall guy when * goes Pete tong but never once got praise as a coach when Rodgers was here.

I have no information or opinion on his ability as a coach tbh, I doubt any of us do really. It’s just interesting that he gets trashed when it’s going wrong but no one ever bumped his thread when it was going well under Rodgers.

Regardless, he should be nowhere near the top job at our club.

Loaded with innuendo? Literally said it was cos he was trying to be pals with our youth players.

If video celts is the blog that used to cover our youth games, not 100% sure but I think it is, then he was told to take a step back.

That’s a fair point. I’m not overly keen on Kennedy as interim manager either but, on balance, I think I’d be happier with him and McManus for 4 months than Lennon staying - frustrations are too high

Anyway, I share your opinion of the source of this rumour so I expect it will come to nothing - again.

I always think there is more to a team than the manager, for example Chris Davies with Rodgers is clearly a very talented and motivated coach, these guys with high profiles come with teams around them who get the best from players I feel as if Lennon has the passion for Celtic but a bunch of people around him he's had forced upon him, the board have a lot to answer for this season, Lenny should have walked but in no way shape or form has he been handed any favours from them.

i was asking myself is there another top flight club used to winning that would continue with a manager as long as this and as results and performances keep being *

it does look like pete lawell is being a tight fist * again, hoping lennon quits so he doesnt have to pay him off, this * been happening at celtic forever and a day lawell is the new master of it trying to use an employee or possible signings love for the club against them to underpay them, to just not do the right thing, its * penny pinching bullshit and it shows to me that the club dont mind and actually like sticking it to employees

I'm no fan of this board but on this is issue, it's not an excuse for Lennon.

No decent manager (who had confidence in his own ability to get another job) would allow Lawwell to dictate their backroom team. They tried it with Roy Keane who wouldn't wear it.

In fact, the only managers who gave accepted it were Ronny (I'm pretty sure that he was told Collins would be his assistant) and Lennon.

If Lennon didn't want Kennedy then he should have been strong enough to say no. As usual, he said yes to Lawwell so it's down to him.

Don’t get me wrong Jeannie, agree with most of that and people say time is the greatest healer and Lennon should have been sacked months ago it’s been shambles such a shambles that big Ronnie delia wasn’t that bad a manager after all, believe he was a nice guy and he did enough with no Huns to win 2 legs but everybody and their dog was crying out for Delia to leave after embarrassing results in semi finals v Ross County, Inverness and then a * Huns team on penalties

Also people thinking more to it with BR, a personally don’t think Rodgers had any intention of staying and the type of guy he is with his bullshit and wanting everyone to love him he would’ve spoken out by now and don’t get me wrong loved the invincible season and some of the football was good but he was also competing against dross and lets be honest a far worse Huns team than they have now and his signings were a joke , granted he got us to CL twice , when we faced a good side in Europe his tactics were a shambles

Its like when your playing *, the guy who isn’t playing suddenly becomes a far better player, let’s not kid ourselves Lennon has been a total shambles n Embarrassment an absolute disgrace, but let’s not get to clouded about the other 2
