In fairness we have spent decent money and we kept most of our big players this season. We have a very good squad IMO...The only problem is we have a very poor manager to manage said squad. That is on the board and no amount of but we won all these trophies years in a row is going to change that

Quite funny that Lawwell is saying that Lennon is still the man, shortly before saying how the club have given him more money to spend than any other manager in such a short space of time. Then you see them talking about the results and how they haven't been good enough.

Cnuts the lot of them, but he (lawell) is right in that they have spent and backed Lennon. For me the first step to us getting back to being ourselves is getting rid of Lennon and his two stooges.. they are still our biggest problem at the moment.

 

A good portion of which was * down the drain. There's more to football than how much money we spend on players. We need to have a solid scouting and development structure in place to make the most of that 35 million. Not to mention good coaching at every level. We don't. Frankly we're a total mess in those areas and it shows.

What specifically in monetary terms is the investment and what size is the department in comparison to previous years. Specifically 2016 - 2019.

It's 2020, we should have embraced Sports Science a long time ago, why haven't we?

Our CEO has been in his position for 17 years, why did he not foresee the transition to embrace modem sports practices like Science and Analysis?

Yes, you have kept our big players which is a plus however, we haven't invested in sports science like most modern clubs do, we failed to ensure that we replaced the likes of KT etc. with suitable quality replacements. You have also overseen our rapid decline in Europe and our signings have either been woefully inept or haven't had the chance to show what they can do (Turnbull and Soro). You have stood bye and watched our team's performances deteriorate on a weekly basis to the point we are now chasing the huns and don't look as though we will achieve the holy grail of 10. So, basically Peter, as a custodian of Celtic FC you have failed in your duties and should therefore do the right thing and step down now and stop with the patronising bollocks.

 

They obviously don't give a * what all of us plebs think.
