I’ve been saying for weeks our problem was not a defensive one it was a midfield one, we sat too deep and let teams play through us, giving them chance after chance, today I think they had 1 or 2 chances only we never looked troubled much. Defence took the fall for it but it was midfield exposing them.

Use him where he's best, thats with his head, dont try to have him play fancy football, just punt and clear itnd head it oof defence or at goal and he'll come good for us.

Delighted for him, hopefully he can kick on and become the player we thought he was...

Things are looking better for him. He's no longer the player who has to win every ball and take it out of defence. Jullien coming back has to be a positive for him. Jullien was always bullied by big aggressive centre forwards. Now Duffy can deal with that and let Jullien concentrate more on defending and passing out of defence. No coincidence that Duffy has been decent since Jullien came back.

    Exactly.

It's also why the Klan have barely conceded.

    It's all about the midfield.

If he just sticks to the simple stuff then can come good. You could see how much his team mates like him in the way they celebrated his goal.

:56: do you think he got a slagging cause he's irish and we are scottish? What exactly have we got to be bitter about? Get a grip

Hes been getting slagged because hes been * *. He cant do the basics right and hes slow as *.

Hes good in the air for attacking set pieces in the opposition box and I said today he will be dangerous with turnbull taking the set pieces. But he isnt pulling the wool over my eyes because any decent opposition will walk all over him again.

Good goal today and a couple of other solid headers on goal. But bitton will be back in when hes fit

Think he has a place in the team if we (stating the * obvious) play to his strengths.

That might mean as a defender, he's used as the last man to get in a hard tackle and get his body in the way, whilst guys like Jullien and Ajer be the athletes who do the closing, chasing, harrying and running about.

Then as an attacker with guys like Turnbull on form, get his big heid on everything and if opposition cotton to that, there is always Jullien, so while it lasts we should now begin to look far more dangerous from set pieces now.

He has been * and that's the only reason he's been criticised. No one gives a * what country he comes from.

Fans were hard on him because firstly because he was unbelievably bad and secondly because kept posting dumb self pitying nonsense online because he was getting criticized.

Not a chance. Bitton was NOT good enough to start 2 yrs ago. Why is he all of a sudden good enough now? Bitton has been awful in recent matches

:56: think he must be at the wind up. He has to be.

If anything Irish people and players have the opposite effect within the celtic support in which we see ourselves as one.. for some reason these Irish boys think we have some mighty agenda against them :56:
