Anybody recommend any decent wild camping spots they've been to recently, ideally within 2 hours drive of Glasgow, and accessible for weans if there's wee a bit of walking involved?

France now on the 14 day QT list...

folk running out of places to go..

interesting that Malta is likely to be added soon after it becoming popular as a fairly COVID free destination...

I expect turkey and Greece to end up in same position.

    This.

Was saying this the other day, Greece has been relatively unaffected but it’s inevitable that their numbers will increase with so many people travelling into the country, like any other country of course.

Haven’t heard much about Turkey at all through this.

I've been to Germany in the last couple of weeks and have been self isolating since as a precaution, even though I don't really have to.

I don't really sympathise with people complaining about having to quarantine when they get back, as its always been a risk. If you travel you should be prepared to accept that risk, even if Boris is undoubtedly politicising it. Then again, I have the luxury of being able to work from home.

Of course, if the trip was booked months ago and the airline refuse to refund because they're still flying then its a different story.

I'm due to fly out to Vancouver on 28th of next month...I'm totally in the dark what position I'm in .
It's a flight only but I've never heard anything regarding flights to BC or from British Airways.

I'm hoping they cancel my flight as in my head I've resigned to not traveling.

Suppose to be in Bahamas for a scuba trip in February 2021 the trip was originally booked for March this year but a hurricane devastated the island last year. Bahamas now on the list. The lady we booked the trip with has said cases are rising on the island. Will also have to fly into Miami before hand. Either way it isn’t looking good. Starting to think the higher powers don’t want me to dive with these tiger sharks.

gov. has prohibited cruise ship travel indefinitely and likely to run into 2021...

some might run but you could find insurance an issue... the few that have tried recently have found the virus hard to keep at bay.

The government clearly doesn’t want the hassle and expense of repatriating thousands when it goes wrong.

Was meant to be going to Tenerife this Friday coming but changed it due to quarantine rules. Kraków it is instead.

Loch Tay is great. I was at Loch Earn during the week as well and wasn’t impressed - lots of fannies leaving their rubbish behind.

Get that 100%. No chance I’d book anything abroad just now it’s too volatile. May have a long weekend by the sea in the uk like my parents used to take us. Fish and Chips, * rain and a show at the end of the pier if that’s still a thing

There's a lot of that at the moment. The number of people camping has increased so unfortunately that also means an increase in folk that don't clear up after themselves.

Was at Tyninghame beach for a couple days over the weekend and it was great, no midges either, which is one of the worst things about the west coast.
