    SHANE DUFFY will be in Glasgow tomorrow to complete his season-lone loan switch to Celtic, according to reports.

    Neil Lennon has already confirmed his interest in the Brighton centre-half and he is expected to join the Premiership champions on a 12-month deal that will cost the Hoops around £2million.

    SunSport told earlier how that deal was expected to be finalised by the middle of the week.

    Now the Daily Record say the Irish international will be in Scotland on Tuesday to put the finishing touches to the deal.

    The experienced defender will provide competition for Christopher Jullien and Kris Ajer at the heart of the Hoops defence.

    The pandemic ultimately hasn't helped here with the permanent deal situation. Would definitely have had more chance if the clubs revenue streams we're flowing as they would normally do.

    If this happens, who do we think will be the 3 assuming we eventually revert to 3-5-2?

    I’m hoping Elhamed is one of the 3, he should be starting when fit. I would go with Elhamed Duffy Julien. Be interesting to see what Lenny does although good chance Ajer may be sold before end of the window anyway.

    Yeah and in a years time we may be able to negotiate a bit higher and this season the player gets his Brighton salary so loses out less. Even if he is only here a year it helps the 10.
    I still think we need another centre back or trust Welsh.

    That's being a bit unfair to Christie. Most of the time they will be hitting the first defender, not going out for throw ins.

    As for Duffy I don't really know much about him, so I'm not as excited as most seem to be. That being said considering how * our defence has been of late I don't see how he can fail to improve it.
