Neil Lennon

  1. And another thing, Rodgers may have been self serving but we know he left as a middle finger to the board due to the fact he was challenging lawell more often than he should. Mcginn saga for one.

Lennon doesn't challenge the board as he plays it safe.

  2. I’ll be straight back shoving this right down your throat when Lennon lifts the ten and your still wanking into a sock

This is not a clear suggestion but the guy from Cluj, who handed Lennon's * in a plate in several occasions last year, openly offered himself to manage Celtic one day. We will really need to look beyond Britain for this one.

  3. And that is the problem, the height of your ambition is a league title against teams inferior to us in every sense of the word. Small minded thinking.

  4. Wanking into a sock. What?

You’re blinded by 10. Small minded mentality that drags our club down.

  5. This is so true.

Except I'll be sitting alone. Without a mrs. Because my thoughts of that moment have driven me into a deep dark depression which in turn made me unloveable to any woman.

  6. He’ll still have failed to make the CL two years in a row. Failed to even make the play off round, both times, in fact.

Great win the 10. Is that the height of our ambition? To stick it to the huns? After the 10, if we get it, the usual suspects will just be saying “let’s go for 55 now!”

It’s small minded and embarrassing. Our club has went from qualifying for the CL last 16, to finishing 3rd and going into the EL, to finishing bottom of our CL group, to now not even able to get close to the group stage.

We’re a Europa League club with a Europa League mindset, from within the club and from a large chunk of fans who only care about being better than the huns.

  8. Actually has a very good record with the clubs he’s been at.....won the league in a few different countries and has a good level of English from his time at Tottenham. We could do worse. We talk about tapping into the Eastern European leagues for players, why not for managers?

    obviously I’m just being speculative.

  11. I see the Lenny apologists are out in full force today.

Parochial idiots, that’s all they are. Small club mentality.

    How ?

  13. I have to disagree. Although anyone with two brain cells knows that Rodgers is objectively a better manager than Lennon, going to the board and giving the middle finger doesn’t look good when a lot of his own signings were haphazard to say the least.

As I say, far far better manager than Lennon but pretty shoddy when it came to recruitment.

  14. Doubt we’ll go down this route.

Usual xenophobes will say ‘he doesn’t understand the Scottish game’ and we’ll opt for some uninspired dreck or somebody of Celtic origins. Of course, our record with foreign managers such as with Ronny will be brought up as evidence that all foreign managers are a waste of space.

Just another sad indictment on what a parochial club we are these days.

  15. Any other club in Europe of a comparable size in country with a comparable domestic footballing dynamic would’ve sacked him by now after that shambles. Your Benficas, Portos, Ajaxes and what have you.

  16. He got everything wrong last night. Unforgivable? Maybe. He’s been found wanting tactically too many times.

  17. This is the way football's been going for years as you say but it's no individual or club's fault. UEFA have been bullied by the richest clubs in the biggest countries into allowing them to get it all their own way financially causing a massive divide between the richest leagues/club's and the rest. And now they also get 4 club's straight into the groups when clubs like Celtic have to play 4 qualifiers and even clubs like Ajax who reached the semi last year have to play 2 qualifiers just because they're not in a 'big' league. Football's the same as the rest of society - the rich get richer and more powerful and the rest can * off. This process won't be reversed until UEFA grow a pair and stand up to these club's/leagues and divide the wealth of European football a bit more equitably or at least give us a level playing field when it comes to qualifying for the groups.

  18. That’s very true, some very parochial types amongst the support. Having a “Celtic man” at the helm is great initially, but the novelty wears off very quickly if that same Celtic is completely and utterly without tactical nouse.
