    Fight out for Naylor with Villa & Sunderland, Villa just lost their LB to really bad injury - so maybe they will drop their demands for Maloney & the 2 clubs can do business?

    I'd be happy to take a straight swop for Maloney, but with Lawell being such a hard * & Sunderland also interested & the Bouma injury - maybe we could get the swop + 1 million that Lawell wanted in the 1st place?

    Can't help but feel if we lost Naylor and then didn't sign a left sided left back then we would be trying to force square pegs into round holes.

    I don't like full backs working on the wrong foot - makes it easier for wingers to get round the outside (won't be a problem against the huns lol).

    Still if it involved a swap with Maloney I'd be EXTREMELY tempted!

    I don't actually mind Naylor at all, I think he's pretty underrated - a consistent performer, not bad at putting useful balls into the box and likes to attack players too.

    In saying that, I don't care if he goes as long as we get decent cover for him.

    There was talk of a part exchange for Maloney, but the clubs couldn't agree a fee so it collapsed, hopefully Bouma's injury will force Villa's hand and we'll get shot of him!

    Lot of money for Shorey, i must say - esp with the back-up they'll have after their 2 best LB's come back from injury... MON is obviously desperate for a good support player for Young on the wing..
