He'll just think, Irish - Celtic, i'll give it a go. He'll be trying to get a last pay check before he retires.

  9. Ye, that's from last week that report.

Saw that interview on Sky Sports, if Camara stays the way he was against Rangers, there's no chance of Harte making the team. There'd be another person to battle for the free kicks because this guy has some left foot.

Thought he was great at Leeds, dunno whether he's the same though. I say bring him in while we can though, we could miss out on a an amazing signing here.

Amazing signing? Are you serious? Harte is a duffer hopeless - I'd be astounded if GS even bother his flute looking at Harte - he won't :87:

I've always been a fan of Ian Harte. I saw this coming a long tim, Harte needs a big club and Celtic need a Left Back. ExPatBhoy, one trick pony maybe, but what a trick he can do. He did well with Levante until his injury and then they went from 12th into the Relegation Battle. How long was he out of the Ireland team and his first free kick back and he stuck it into the top corner. Would you rather rely on Mo Camara for the entire season? He's a far better choice than Camara

Harte is more concerned about playing in top flight football than wages. He got his foot back in the Irish Squad and doesnt want to loose it.

    *, you go girl :50:

1.5 million for harte is not even funny if he was say 300k even 400k i'd say ok cos we need cover at left back and players challanging fir the posistion.

To the first question, yes I would, since I don't agree that he's better than Camera - I don't rate him at all. If Celtic get him on a free and at reasonable wages, I'd take him as backup - hey, he might even wake up and actually play - but only under those circumstances. If he comes to Celtic and does the business, I'll be the first to hold my hand up :87:

Seems like a reasnable price for a back up player. Id take him at that price.

It will cos he'll get more anxious about getting a move away. Would you not agree that he hasn't put a foot wrong since he returned against Israel?

Nope. Wages are a problem at CP - Harte at 20K a week would cost a cool million - don't think they have it - even 15K could be a problem. So it's just not about 500K to buy, never mind the reported 1.5 million :87:
