Play well you get praised, play pish you it gets noted shocker..

He was very good midweek but He has to do it in more than one game to be fair..

Lack of pace and lack of ability to go by a man are definitely gonna hamper him..

I'd still persist with him anyway as he deserves a run but I still think Boli is more suited to us..

I think he's a decent wee player who doesn't look overawed playing for us. Very early days for him regarding game time.

    He'll be fine I reckon.

Tenacious and will be a good addition, better at defending than going forward it seems.

He does seem to have a good early delivery and will gain more of an understanding with his teammates as we progress.

Was poor the day but would persevere..

I'd still go with Taylor at Motherwell which would be unfair on Hayes but I think we'll need to defend a little more in that fixture.

Would like to see him take on his man more often, but all in all, I think he's decent and can do a job for us. Maybe Boli and Hayes are better suited to playing in a 3-5-2? At least in games like yesterday. I'd have Taylor in for his superior defensive qualities though.

Talk about ott, honking with zero technical ability. What a load of *. He wasn't great yesterday but he still put in a couple decent crosses.

He's more of an old fashioned left back in that his main priority is his defending, and doesn't have the raw pace of a Tierney where he can knock it by his man and get a cross in, but technically there's absolutely nothing wrong with him.

Was only a few days folk were raving about him. He deserves another chance to show what he can do.

He's still trying too hard. However he's by far out most solid lb. Not the best attacking wise but the Taylor>Hayes sub is a good option moving forwards.

He'll do till the end of the season but we should still be lookin for a LB come the summer.

Am willing to die on this hill

Johnny Hayes is better in a 352

Maybe so, but to call him honking with zero technical ability is wildly innacurate. He keeps the ball well, has good delivery into the box and most importantly is a solid defender.

I actually agree that Hayes probably fits into a 352 better, especially in games like yesterday where we were struggling to break them down and we were crying out for a bit of pace down that left hand side. That being said I like what I've seen so far from Taylor and would stick with him on Wednesday.

I think we will be regardless..

Boli looks like he's been chopped. Lot of rumours flying around about him but we know he's definitely been frozen out for one reason or another..

Hayes is approaching 33 and will be a squad filler on another deal..

    Taylor still has to convince..

Apparently we were linked with Neil Taylor at left back. If there was any truth to that then it shows what Lenny thinks with 3 left backs on the book's..

I like him. Just lacks that little bit of pace to be Tierneyesque. In his defence also, he’s a LB, not a LWB. Two different positions. Hayes/Boli probably more suited to 3-5-2

He’s definitely deserved a spot in the rotation I think the rest of the season will prove how much time in the rotation he should get.

Another solid performance. Hardly put a foot wrong and kept possession well in some tight situations. Looks tough and determined as well. Definitely looks our most reliable LB.

    Me too, thought that.

Mind you whole team changed, defence was poor 1st improved 2nd, but think Ed just sickened them into submission.

Wasn't any worse than anybody else in the 1st half.
