Sorry to be negative on this but I really don't see the point in him at all. We have 8000 midfielders and the last type we need is a defensive minded one. We've already far too many wasted wages who can't get near the middle of the park: Kouassi and Bitton, Henderson, that Connell boy plus the Yank we signed and haven't seen a second of since.

We need a better version of Christie or a Rogic with stamina for Europe, and a long term replacement for Brown, and I highly doubt either of those will cost less than 7 million today.

All these 1s, 2s, and 3 millions wasted on players would add up to one top player on 40 grand a week.

 

Stick to watching Liverpool.

Daft thing to say but what worried me more is that he went off injured in the cup final! Hopefully just a one off and not a sign of things to come but it is Celtic he:s joining so if he's not injury prone now then he soon will be.

Kouassi is done here, Bitton I don't think is even in contention for a midfield slot, Henderson isn't defensive and Connell isn't good enough yet. All we have is a 34 year old Brown.

We all know that we're a pathway to the EPL for these sorts of players but as a 21-year old guy that's signing from the relative obscurity of a mid-table Israeli team going to a club as big as ourselves, I'd rather he was talking about and focusing on that; rather than a hypothetical move further down the line.

It's a little disrespectful IMO, just keep the thought in your head.
