Celtic Supporters Thread (contains GB chat)

They don't claim to, in fact they are quite smart to consistently tell us they dont, but when you, me, or anyone decides to chant songs, display large banners etc at CP that then becomes a representation of general celtic fans.

Like I say, go do it on their own time, off their own back etc if they want to stick it to Rod - don't do it while being a Celtic fan and doing it in the name of Celtic fans - whether they think they are speaking for us all or not, thats how it comes across.

 

Find the lengths people are going to to defend Rod Stewart pretty mad, * the guy and the rest of the tories, banner was perfectly timed considering the election was only a few days ago. The fact the majority of the support joined in with the anti-tory chant when the banner was unveiled suggests there were plenty whose views were aligned with the gb today.

And if they keep on going the way they are, they'll keep getting banned. I reckon our team perform better when they are involved, so if their messages keep getting us fines and them banned, can they not just sick to footballing matters? Or do they believe that their beliefs/opinions mean more than what their support brings to a game?

You can't divorce football from politics or shouldn't be able to. In the EPL probably but * that.

You seem keen on quoting that "club open to all" pish what about "football is nothing without fans" which seems far more relevant to me.

I don't know any individuals in the Green Brigade but I do worry that so many on here that criticise them are just paving the way for us to sleepwalking into just becoming another Arsenal.

If "fellow fans" have a problem with the Green Brigade they should organise themselves. Create another section. Take your own banner. Go down the CSC and explain your concerns.
