This is the type of attitude he’ll become accustomed to if he is to move to Arsenal. From Green Brigade cheerleader, hometown supporter who won the lottery, sweetheart of 60k every second week to a cog in a wheel of a tourist support that don’t even know who he is or what he’s done.

Heartbreaking to even think about it.

At a club where reaching too four would be an achievement.

Shortly after they talked about it on the panel in the studio the line "after the treble treble, what else can he do" was used.
Admittedly there wasn't much (if any) negative towards us, actually reasonably complimentable, but the fact they didn't touch on the potential ten probably shows more how little they know what's going on up here.

For me, Tierney will leave at some point and will go with a heavy heart and my best wishes. I just can't see him wanting to leave before the ten is done (one way or the other).
If the offer is there, for me that's his decision.
Go for a tourist attraction, or stay two more years and be in Celtic folklore and history for 100 years and more.

And if anyone doubts it, click play.

Left foot, right foot, headers, penalties, free kicks, long-range, poachers goals, chips, overhead kicks, solo goals, interplay...the lot!

Is there really any need to bring Henrik into a thread involving the prospect of losing KT? :54:

Arsenal must have a small transfer budget compared to the rest if they are going for freebies

We play for four major honours each season.

Messi has won every top-tier competition that it is possible to win at Barcelona, so has he nothing left to achieve there?

If Tierney were to leave now, where would he rank in the Celtic pantheon? For me, he would be one of the minor deities, at best. That is no slight on him: he is in the spring of his career.

If he were to spend the best years of his career here, he would have the opportunity to make an indelible mark upon the club that he loves.

We still sing about Quinn, Gallagher and McGrory: they last played for Celtic a century or so ago. No Celtic supporter will sing about Tierney a century from now if he leaves this summer, but he could earn that kind of permanence in our folklore if he stays! I can think of no greater glory in football for someone who bleeds Celtic.

It might be romantic, and unrealistic, but what is wrong with that? Celtic is something of a fairytale.

There is no right or wrong path here.

    Bang on.

James Forrest hasn't left yet, surely he's won more than Tierney up here. Nobody suggested we punt him so he can better his career.

It feels nailed on we'll lose either KT or McGregor, pain as it does to pick one I think McGregor would be the bigger loss.

Long as we dont lose both, that'll * up any good will the top brass has built up with the signings the other day.

Must be in the minority, but I think Tierney would be a bigger loss than McGregor. Best player we've produced in my lifetime imo, I'll be devastated if he goes, but wouldn't hold it against him at all.

The thoughts of Tierney wearing a different jersey just doesn't seem right.

Is the ceiling, or was it at any point, as high for Forrest as Tierney? No way imo. Tierney has been well-known and on every wonderkid list for near 5 years now. Monitored by & linked to both City and United, now being actively chased by Arsenal to be a first-team player. Forrest never had that- nor did Brown, who I see being used as an example of choosing Celtic out of loyalty, but the truth is he was never pursued for top money by top teams the way Tierney is.

But I also never had the impression Jamesy is as much of a Tim as KT. You can tell.by his reaction to winning and the way he is with the fans that he's one of us. It would be tougher for him to walk than Forrest, who would have good reason to considering he's our most loyal player and still has no song...

Comparing Messi at Barca and KT here doesn’t make any sense at all. It’s ridiculous quite frankly.

And we don’t play for four major honours each season at all.

He’s already left an indelible mark on the club.

I’d put good money on KT still having songs sung about him for generations no matter if he stays for another 20 years or goes tomorrow.

Sorry sounding like a broken record but all Celtic have to do is say “not for sale at any price”

So 1 of two things is happening:

Tierney has told them he wants out

    They want tierney out

It’s as black and white as that!

I could see that * of a board of ours selling

Ntcham, Tierney, Sinclair and Calmac banking £50m to £60m in the process and not reinvesting anymore than £10m of it!
