Chill ffs I would much rather wait and sign the type of players we need than to sign 3 average donkeys spending 6million on them then another couple on there wages ,

One top Class striker 6million , rest on wages = 3 Average players id much rather one big name than 3 donkeys ,

Do you see Man utd rushing out and buying any one yet no these things take time alot of club's will not buy any one until after euro's that does not mean that talks are not going on already over deals tho.

 

nah celtic and mainly peter lawwell will have his men in mind and probably been talking with for weeks! from a media point of view they seem to get the rangers transfers mostly on the mark where as with celtic the media havent a clue who we are going for till the last min jst look who we have been linked with in the past few months thats where all this panic comes from the media!! the one thing that does anoy me is the bosmans think we should b trying to snap up players who we like months in advance in january feb and march time! players such as sidwell we waited and waited and lost him to chelsea now aston villa are buying him for 5.5million jst think that could have been 5.5 million in our teams pocket

 

nothing to be worried about lads, 3 mediocre strikers for 6mil plus. doesnt exactly have me shaken in me boots!! quality not quantity! i just hope wgs sets his sights on quality.. proven worth

 

thats how rangers are oish,its no celtic who are putting the rumours around , the press ,tam round the corner ,joe up the hill ,its mostly * and celtic will do there business when required, patience

 

I would rather wait and sign who we want or even nobody at all rather than sign players just to show we can

 

I think its brilliant the huns signing these players, I now know in the Old Firm's there will be no goal threat against us, unless very unlikely boyd gets a start.

But I do think we should spend big on Pavlyuchenko. That is if we have enough money which we must do, we spent 4.4mill on Brown so why not pay a little extra for a lot more?

If we sell our mountain of deadwood/decent reserves (Balde, Donati, Gravesen, Killen, Riordan....) we would have more than enough wage money.

My main point is that although I think we should be patient and have faith in WGS, if we want Pav, he must be bought now, before we are outpriced by a less than mediokre english team (excuse spelling) or some team hijacks our bid.

 

I think it is not so bad to see what the huns are signing as it gives us an opportunity to see what we need to bring in, but so far the huns have spent a lot of money on mediocre players. Im sure we will sign a couple of gems and WGS and lawell will be working hard to them in. Incidently just noticed villa about to sign Sidwell, I reckon Petrov or Maloney will definently be movin on.

 

No be patient it will happen am sure wgs will have his plan in place wait till after the euros have finished there will be some new players.

IMO if he cant get players a lot better than what we have then he shouldnt bother buying them unless they are great young prospects. At least half of the time 3 or 4 million will only buy an average player not much better than a 1 or 2 million pound SPL one. I agree with those that would rather see two really classy players costing up tp 6 million each than four or five 3 million quid ones. If we cant get much better then just stick with what we have a blood our top youths.

 

but look at who the gers have signed, they've jumped in head first and signed three shanners!!! Lets hope we do the opposite, wait and while and grab three diamonds in the rough!!! patience my friend:bbpd:

 

well we can't really do business when our manager is covering the european championships and we are linked with all european players who are starring in these championships. and alot of the players are too busy concentrating on their nation to worry about signing for clubs and also international managers often forbid agents contacting the players in their hotel

 

Some people forget/dont consider that at all. Very tough season emotionally for all at Celtic, they've earned their time off and we should be patient enough to give it to them.

 

Heres to another preseason of Nakamura coming in already banged up from * quality asian teams' thugs. If Okada doesn't sit him for a meaningless match in Saitama I'll have his and Okubos' heads myself.

 

none of the big clubs have signed anybody.

the smaller clubs are fighting for the scraps just now and the bigger clubs are waiting till the euros are over as nobody at that tournament will sign for another club while they are on international duty.

We have never been ones to sign players early on. I mean Naka, JVoH and Tommy weren't signed until after the start of the season.

Just be patient and believe in WGS and Pedro Lawwell

 

We have plenty of time to do our work, we are in the CL stages from the off, Rangers have the qualifiers so their shittng themselves & want everything done & dusted by next week.

We also need to sell the big earners who don't get a game, before we truly know:

(a) Our final transfer budget.
(b) Our true wage budget.

If Bobo & Gravesen don't go this pre-season, you can forget getting Bent & Pavelchenko.
