As long as it’s someone from Winterfell who takes the throne I’m not too fussed.

I’ve always thought it would be Daenerys but can see Sansa backstabbing her at some point.

Aye, agreed. Really hope it's not Daenerys. Never particularly liked her.

    It was an incredible spectacle.

But I'm not even sure I'd have it in the top 10 GoT episodes tbh.

As an episode I think it’s somewhere in my top 10. As scenes go the final one might be my favourite.

Watched the last scene again. That’s the best way for it to happen I’ve decided. Game of Thrones has always been about the politics. Humans v Humans. Finishing on that is how it should end. The threat of the Night King obviously brought everyone together, so it wasn’t for nothing.

Dammit the more I think about it the more annoyed I am about it. Why was Jon brought back from death? Who was the night king was he linked to the starks or bran ? What's up with the prophecy of ice and fire relating to Jon snow ?

Jon is the rightful heir to the throne but I think he'll give it up to dany so long as she allows sansa to rule winterfell

I've always thought of it as the humans fighting for the iron throne, but ultimately their battle being meaningless because of this much bigger ungodly threat hanging over them. In the end its turned out to be about the humans with the white walkers being a minor inconvenience. A side story really

you see, I'm not so sure, I mean I've not read the books too get a feel of what the narrative is there but certainly in the show they opened up with these guys and led with the whole "winter is coming".

How I see it was everything we've seen happen with the characters was just filler and character development whilst we wait eagerly for the slow march of death to catch up with us as if to say, "don't matter what you do, where you are or who you are, death is coming for you all". There is now alot left unexplained about the NK, that is utterly pointless to explain now.

Also, where the * is ghost again?. See him charge with the Dothraki and Jora and yet Jora, a few horses and Dothraki make it back?.

Lastly, after how everyone survived the NK after resurrecting all the dead from the battle and in crypt, I'd be massively * off now if they don't batter Cersei, their limited numbers dealt with a limitless army all with relative ease, to struggle against her now would be a giant * take.

How long does it take Bronn of the Blackwater and his crossbow to get to Winterfell?
Maybe he spotted a blue fire breathing dragon somewhere in the distance and decided to stop at a * house for the night.

    SOME SPOILERS BELOW....

    Getting my geek on here...

So the night king was just a normal human, turned into a white walker by the children of the forest to fight humanity but, ultimately, went rogue. It showed you last season I’m sure. Not entirely sure how he survived the dragon fire but hey ho.

Didn’t notice any knights of the vale, except a few with Jamie. Surely they must be have retreated? They’re knights who fight on horses, so surely it was perhaps just a small force to help hold the line ? I’m hoping that’s what Royce and Sansa were discussing in episode 2. Perhaps the deal is use of that army to beat Cersi for a free north?

I don’t think anyone except Danny is interetesed in the iron throne - think Sansa would be happy up north but you never know.

And I have a feeling the Lannister army might end up fighting for Jamie over cersi.

Maybe just me but i found the scene where the Dothraki charge with their swords of fire only to see them gradually disappear very poignant. The fact it was shown from a distance made it even better IMO. It was heroic, beautiful and sad all at the same time. I couldn't help but think of WW1 the way all the lights started off together only to be gradually extinguished. Great job whoever came up with the idea.

I know it's silly because it's just a show, but if you don't think about it, yeah it's poignant as if to say the Lord of light and fire will be powerless to stop this massive hoarde that was hidden in the dark blizzard.

If you stop for moment, it was the most stupid thing they could have done, just run into the unknown just because they suddenly some flamey metal thingys.

It was a great episode, but I was perhaps hoping for too much.

I think they've completely ruined the show tbh, cheesy * script, they've gone from No character is safe and realistic deaths in certain moments to * having plot armour all over gaff, only 6 eps? REALLY? You could of filled US in on a * large number of details on a wide range of subjects over 10 and it would of been fine and not over ran. And for * sake someon turn the lights on
