Well, going into the second day with my new best friend. When we picked her up, she slept on my lap the whole way back home (1 hour drive).
Took a leak outside on the grass 3 out of 4 times. She woke me up at 4:30 in the morning, walked her and slept on the couch right next to her. Not had a lot of sleep.
Still finds walking outside a bit scary, so only stay out for five minutes at a time.

You’re not alone there bud, def no shame in it. Remember few months back having to say goodbye to my SBT and like you cried like a baby. Kids were shocked I was crying and even my wife commented that she’d never seen me cry and we’ve been together nearly 20 years. Even my mum told my wife that she can’t remember me ever crying other than when I was a baby. Close friends and family have passed and nothing, saying goodbye to my Harry and I couldn’t stop, took a good few hours to pull myself together.

It’s the only real special connection, man and his dog.
