  2. As far as I know Clarke doesn't suffer from mental health issues, where as Lenny has been quite open around his issues.

Clarke has called The Huns out, rightly so, doesn't mean he couldn't handle the pressure of the job. So don't really know what you're getting at. Calling them out isn't a sign of weakness.

  3. If we're not going to try outside the box, I really want it to be Lennon.

    With Henrik as Assistant :62::62:

  5. Aye, he has some unfinished business certainly. I'd say he's a much better manager than he was back then though, our games against him at Hibs show that.

The domestic cups was always my biggest gripe with Lennon, we shat the bed far too often. With Rodgers in the dugout I was confident of the Scottish Cup if we could get by Hibs at the weekend. With Lennon, I'm not as confident.

At this point the league is the be all and end all. As long as we win that then we can have a look at things in the summer.

Would love to get Marco Rose the Salzburg manager but unfortunately don’t think we would have any chance !!

  6. I agree with myself

  7. I’m aware of Lenny’s mental health issues, no one should have to deal with what he has.

I just think Lenny has the battling mentality which I don’t think Clarke has. Was just trying to compare the two to show how much Lenny has been through compared to Clarke who has never had to endure anywhere near what Lenny has in terms of sectarianism.

Of course Clarke is right to speak out but if the sectarianism he receives as Killie manager is too much for him, been the Celtic manager is clearly going to be much worse.

  8. The board showed ambition with Rodgers appointment but no doubt quickly learned that certain levels of funding need to be made available to support continued development of the playing squad. Our board simply don't do enough to support a manager of his calibre so we won't go there again.

Safe option is Lenny, I love the guy but he's a massive step down in stature, he simply doesn't have the bigger picture outlook you get from a man like Rodgers. I see Rodgers as a manager of a football club, I see Lenny as a coach of a squad. One man with almost permanent decorum the other with his heart on his sleeve loses the rag when he really shouldn't.

I'm afraid Lenny is coming in to this job a little less a man than he was when he was here last time. A lot has changed, at Celtic and with him. It's not the best match long term so I very much hope it's just a short term fix until we find someone of similar class and standing as BR.

This is all down to the board anyway, regardless of what we do, we're still stuck with the same hindering brick wall at the top, if they don't adapt their approach, we'll never progress!

  11. Let’s show a bit of ambition * sake. Lennon is almost literally a step backwards.

  12. How? More league titles than Rodgers and I don’t know if you know this or not but he beat Barca :fear:

  13. On an interim basis there's no-one we could get who is a safer pair of hands than Lennon.

Knows the club, knows most of the players, knows every squad in the league, won't take * from the referees that Rodgers became an apologist for.

  16. I agree with you I don't see Clarke calling out the huns as a sign of weakness at all. Quite the opposite here was a man calling a spade a spade and not being afraid to in public. The fact he has no direct Celtic connections I know of and said what he said as manager of another team in the league was important I felt at the time as the MSM could not spin this as just another Celtic thing.

  17. Rehiring Deila would be a step backwards, Lennon is tried and trusted.

  18. Thoughts? The minimum pricing legislation is clearly not stopping binge drinking.

    Larsson isn't a football manager.
