As the thread title says. For the whole season I was in the camp that there's nothing to worry about, we'll win the league, the Huns are * etc

After the game last week I think it is clear that they are far better than we gave them credit for and we are worse. Still think we are better but this window will decide the title IMO.

We are self sabotaging, which is unacceptable, if we don't get 10, the current regime at the club should be hounded out, they are taking far too many risks with their fuckng penny pinchng, Lawell is a grotesque * of a man lording it up with his outlandish bonus.

If we don't recruit this window to fill at least a couple of our weak spots, and the manager keeps tinkering with the lineup/formation in really odd ways, I'll worry because we're making things difficult for ourselves.

The huns haven't improved much at all, they are about as good/bad as they were last season, it's us that have dropped stupid points making the table close, not them doing massively better than they were before.

The only threat is our own complacency.

Not this her because I think we have the squad to grind it out but next year will be interesting. I don't expect much signings in this window or the next. Our board are a * joke at times and it could be well them that'll * 10IAR up for us. One has to remember all those honest mistakes and them getting away with murder will add up and could gain them * 10 points on us over the ccourse of a season. Who the * knows thou but I don't sense next season will be interesting and the following season after.

Where is the overreaction? Level on points midway through the season with a team that just ripped the pish out of us last week, Not saying I think they'll win the league, but theyve got a better chance than any side in the last 8 seasons

Some will bury their head in the sand, as per usual. The fact is, they're improving, while we remain stagnant. Clear, we need quality first team additions..

This is it in a nutshell, we are self sabotaging by refusing to improve from a position of strength, now we have regressed clearly when we could have been so out of sight.

We're still a much weaker squad than the one that had Roberts, Armstrong and Dembele. We have this window to correct that, do so and they'll not touch us. Refuse to do so and we're openly asking for them to get close, which may be what the board wants in an odd way.

We’ll win the league but it’ll be unnecessarily close. Unless there’s real intent shown in this transfer window

It's almost like they are purposely doing it to make the league more competetive, they are loaded so what;s the excuse for not spending ? we've won 7 trophies on the spin yet we sell our star striker bring in no players again , last window had a shitstorm now not surprisingly given the players we've lost we could be getting our first bit of challenge.

They will slip up often because they are essentially *. They fought like * against us with very little quality and we didn't match the fight. We will win the league but as others have said its a lot closer than it had to be.

For those who are in love.....
Flip it on it's head and they played Middleton up top instead of the mongo and Arfield at right back instead of Tavernier and see what kinda result they'd get at Celtic Park..

We were absolutely abysmal and they were definitely better than us..

We're still a better side, considerably than them and the window is just opened..

They're trying to sign player's for a quick fix, we don't need to. That's the big difference..

Yes we need more quality in and if we don't have a good striker, right back and quality added I'll be annoyed rather than concerned but the panic brought on by let's be frank, them signing a 34 year old Davis and 36 year old Defoe....is staggering..

At least wait and see what business we do..

We're level on points with a home game in hand and nice run of home fixtures to come, plus getting them back to us again in March. We'll do them..

It's about us and what we do, no them..

Our board can be stingy, we all know that but let's hold fire for a minute. Brendan has spoken about 2 strikers needed, quality needed, right backs constantly mentioned. If we sign player's and they aren't up to scratch...by all means then slate Rodgers and his staff to *..

    So, no..

One thing I will say, they are going all out after one victory over us and backing Gerrard to stop the 10.. it’s all very shortsighted but we do need to strengthen and kick on again..

Depends, it's been a weird season as the huns are actually their usual standard but they are close to us, it's just we've dropped a lot more points thn we normally would.

Celtic average usually 92 points in the League or 2.4 per game. So usually after 20 games we'd have 48 points - if we did this season we'd be 6 points clear with a game in hand and the League would be pretty much done with us expected to win it by about 14-16 points by the end.

So if we can pick our form up, the 2nd half of the season is usually a lot easier as theres more breathing space between game to prepare and keep players fresh plus when it gets down to the last 5/6 games most teams start taking their eye off the ball for the summer which is usually why we end up pumping teams near the end and often winning the League by beating teams and scoring 4/5/6.

Will the huns be able to improve their form? in reality they have been a bawhair better than Kilmarnock and Aberdeen. Had we won that last game they'd actuallly be closer to St Johnstone than us so who knows.

We shouldn't have to give a * what they do, but we have to right now was we are doing * all, I know the window just opened but the same patterns are showing.
