True, and if you've ever played Football Manager you'll know that you need to play lots of Glasgow/Scotland based players against the huns. Otherwise you'll lose due to the foreign players "not understanding the significance of the occasion".

 

You need 8 locally trained players.
1. Club-trained players – players who were on a club's books for three years between the ages of 15 and 21; (Tierney, McGregor, Forrest with Jonhston, Hazard, Ralston) Kouassi
2. Association-trained players – players who were on another club's books in the same association for three years between the ages of 15 and 21. No club can have more than four association-trained players among their eight nominees on List A. (every other Scottish player on our books)

If you can only field 7 of the above your squad goes down to 24 and so on.

This means Pogba can play under Club trained players for Manchester United.

I’m not sure whether Hendry qualifies as a homegrown player or not because he’s flitted between Scotland and England.

 

In value (assuming that if we sold Dembele, Edouard & Ntcham we'd recoup every single penny paid out on transfers in the last 2 years and some) then it's been decent.

In quantity and % of success terms, it's nowhere near decent. We've signed 17 players and only the above 3 at this time can be considered real successes. I suppose you could squeeze in Sinclair given how good he was first season and his goals return last year. Bain for a minimal outlay could in time be deemed a success, as could Morgan.

So if you're being generous and assuming Bain & Morgan will, that's 6 successes from 17. Not good at all.

Our biggest failing this summer was being unable to. It’s what has put pressure on the board and managers relationship and brought the ire of the fans towards the board.

I think we should have already been beeling with the lack of centre halfs being signed but there ye go.

 

Ntcham and Roberts, two of the few good signings in Rodgers time, were from Lawells Man City connection, I wont be surprised if Arzani turns out half decent.

Absolute embarrassment. Surely to * the club saw something like this coming?

Can't identify a better centre half than Boyata so turn down a £9m bid and keep an unhappy player. Can't identify another striker to come in, in the likely event of Dembele leaving. Lose out on Piccini so just completely give up the search for a right back. Take 2 months to sign Mulumbu who could have been brought on July 1st. Wait until the last day to get a centre back in on loan, after being bombed out of the CL due to our * defence.

That's on top of the shambolic January window where we signed Hendry, Musonda and Compper.

The lot of them need sacked and replaced because their incompetence knows no limit.
