    give it to boruc ,hes the most idolised player at parkhead ,and it would stop al yous arguing whos better ,him or him,borucs the main man ,or does go against the grain in giving it to a goalie?

    All the players who hav worn the number 7 previously have all had outstanding talent and the player who falls in that category for me is Mc Geady.

    Possibly in the future Mc Donald but to early yet

    I honestly don't think it is "just" a number. Lots of clubs have a special number they associate with certain players throughout their history. Pele and Maradonna wore 10, Jinky, Henrik, Dalglish, Cantona..7. There's a significance with certain numbers for a lot of footy fans and I hold the Celtic Number 7 shirt up as having iconic status.

    Anyone deemed worthy enough to wear it must feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing up just looking at it hanging up pre-match...* me I know I would.

    I'd give it to McGeady, think he deserves it and it could just spur him on to even better performances knowing he's wearing his idol's number on his back.

    Totally agree with this. Some clubs/countries have a certain number which is iconic to them, and I see the number 7, nowadays, as Celtic's.

    Zurawski was a dud. A big-game hider, other than one goal at Ibrox only ever delivered against dross and at home (e.g. - Dunfermline, Dumbarton etc).

    Other than that one Ibrox goal try and think of one big-game or tight game when we were up against it when he delivered? Most games you kept waiting for the no. 7 to go up on the fourth officials board.

    Lazy * and a waste of space, completely ignorant * when I met him as well.

    As for the no. 7 shirt, got to be Aiden for me, but dunno, kinda used to that no. 46 jersey and he seems to pick it every year.
