Unless other teams in the league improve and the standard of the league improves overall it wouldn,t matter a lot.

As things are we are years ahead of any team in the league and have the best players but sadly in Europe that only gets us so far.

Even if we had massive investment and brought in big names id imagine we would still struggle against the big teams, because of the poor standard of the league and the teams we play against every week.

Actually, I was being completely sincere with that post... you're a small-timer, small-time mentality... lacking ambition for our club to reach it's true potential.

But that's who YOU are. Some people just can't help their nature...

What, like PSG...? Who are currently being heavily investigated by uefa...

Does "the Celtic way" (according to your interpretation) mean that we should resign ourselves to never being a force at the top of european football again??

Because my interpretation of "the Celtic way"... is about big Jock having us competing against, and beating the best teams in europe. He would not have settled for 3rd place and europa league qualification.

Winners have higher standards.... like my buddy Xavi Hernandez, who said this about our club a while back: “I think Celtic’s ambition should be more than just qualifying for the group stage, it should be to make it to the last 16."

I'm with you on that one Xavi... :50:

    Nah, I disagree...

A top manager could actually use our domestic situation to our advantage, by resting important players before big euro games... something that clubs in the big leagues cannot do!

A top manager would also realise, that you would need to employ different tactics against big teams in europe compared to the teams we're facing domestically.

Top players don't automatically become rubbish, just because they are playing in a weaker league... if that were actually true, then players like Larsson etc would not have performed for us in europe.

I get what your saying ,but i still think the standard of the league would hold us back.

I think we would probable go a bit further in the CL but eventually we would be found out because of our lack of competition in the league.

I think EL is probable a competition where we would be more competitive giving the league we are in.

I notice you mention a top manager a few times and realising things does that mean you feel BR is not the man?

For the record i feel BR sometimes gets it wrong against the big teams tactically.
