Too many to mention. It sort of comes with wearing a Celtic top round Belfast. Just all the usual "* *" stuff though.

Have quite a proud moment from wearing the hoops. When I was about 9 I was in the Ulster Museum with my family. On the way out, there ws a big crowd full of people standing talking, I just sort of shuffled my way past them as you do, not having a clue who they were. Wasn't till I got out when my da was * himself laughing. Turns out it was members of the DUP who had been having a meeting and I just stormed my way through the Huns in my Celtic top. Apparently they all looked rather outraged:56::56::56:

I don't remember any of that football related stuff.....prob to busy being girly. I don't remember too many kids in the 60's wearing team colours. Tell u what did hack me off tho.......I lived directly facing the catholic school and had to walk miles to the * one :56: No kidding the front gate was 10 yards away!! I came from a mixed family and I was so * that I cdnt just cross the road to school. I never heard any of the * b type of stuff...... in my day it was * dogs eat the frogs and catholic cats eat the rats.......periodically kids wd take to this kind of catcalling but in an odd way they seem to have been innocent times eh?

Wearing it in London I got more shouts of 'mon the Hoops!' and 'go on the Bhoys' than anything negative tbh. Then again I rarely saw anyone in Gers tops anyway.

Over in Ireland you get loads of people wearing Celtic tops/other Celtic clothes, but hardly any of them are proper supporters. You'll shout 'go on the Hoops' and they just give you a funny look. * 'Pool fans in disguise!!

I remember absolutely raging when I went to the uni bar to watch the Barca 2nd leg and they switched it to the Arsenal game at HT because only about 6 people turned up.

Got my 1st Celtic top when I was 14 in 1978 from a sports shop in Manchester, they ripped me off it was a fake with no badge (umbro had just started badging them at the time) was really dissapointed with it, no sectarian chants in rural Saddleworth where I lived tho, just a few puzzled stares from the Man U and Man City mobs, they couldnt understand my fascination with a team that played hundreds of miles away. Anyway the fascination has stuck and I am now a season ticket holder in the upper tier of the North Stand.

Being in the North of Scotland, it's far more Hun dominant. Been in a fair few fights over it too. Always more than one of the * starting, but ALWAYS one Tim finishing! :86: We won basically *-all the whole time I was in Secondary, but left in '98, so it was * sweet knowing I could rub it into their ugly mugs and then never have to see them again. Started on by a pair of the * once, but I visited one of them at work the next day. Never seen a dirty face go so white!

mid seventies i took some severe doings for carrying my celtic scarf to games.... at least four times i ran into trouble. but my only consolation was that when i was in my mid 20's we used to be out in the town after match days and watch for someone who was pished.... me and my buddy would start singing the sash and see if we could cajole the drunk to join in to see if he was a hun...... if the * accross the road joined in we'd run over and kick his * in....... this worked on at least 10 occasions i reckon..... if we took abuse we just laughed and moved on until we found our prey.

I was walking back from the gym wearing Celtic shorts about 2 years ago. I walked past the Hayburn in Partick, when some fat hun shouted at me "ya dirty wee * *". I still remember his face. I hope to meet the fat * again and sort him out.

When i was a kid i lived in clydebank and i was only ever allowed the away tops cos my mum didnt want me wearing the hoops. I moved to perth for a bit and i wasnt allowed to even wear an away top being that perth is full of huns. A kid in my class , whos * hun parents had probably identified me as being a tim by my name in the class photo used to give me a lot of * but i never got a kickin for it like. When i wear the hoops around manchester u usually just get the odd 'mon the hoops' from the irish, i did once get jumped in levenshulme outside a pub when the match was on when wearin the hoops but that could have just been bored longsight scallies havin a go for the sake of it.

never really got abuse for wearing the hoops but growing up in london id get a lot of abuse wearing my ireland jersey. Remember my mum would always say you can wear it but only around where we lived in kilburn for obvious reasons. Low and behold first time i disobey my mother and venture out wearing my beloved jersey some fat * undoes his window shouts * off you ira scum, i was about 12 years old at the time ffs

Called a fenien *, taig *, blah blah all the time when I was a kid. I tended not to wear the hoops around my area when I was younger because it's a predominantly hun area. Tims were out numbered in my school by about 5-1.

Ironically the worst abuse Ive gotten is the three times Ive been to newcastle. Got vile abuse down there when I was TEN from grown men. Totally shocked me.

always get abuse from the low lives outside the hayburn for wearing the hoops. Got is a scuffle over it once, but it never came to blows. Usually some 50 year old geriatric * who dishes it out as well. I'd love to see that place * petrol bombed like the Rosevale was a few years back.:50:
