Ralston and Miller will cover left back and are more than capable domestically. Having one fit centre back has the square root of * all to do with the question I asked you. Don't get me wrong I would like another centre back in but if we don't so be it, Jozo is an excellent defender and will hold his own in Europe and if Boyata keeps up the form he showed from January onwards then he arguably could too.

Getting Roberts in was massive, it now gives us a pool of wingers of Sinclair, Roberts, Hayes (an improvement on GMS) and Forrest.

And Ntcham is an absolute gem and will just get stronger.

The young boy from PSG will hopefully be a good option as cover also. If he performs well then he could very well be the replacement for Dembele when he likely leaves next summer.

Coupled with the fact we have held onto Armstrong, Dembele, Tierney, Jozo etc etc we are in a stronger position than last year

So a striker is almost in, great that we're tapping into the French market also.

Loan deal with option to buy is excellent, especially if he's going to be (at the moment) third choice.

Get a CB in, and this has been a wonderful transfer window.

Ntcham, Roberts, Edouardo, and a CB - along with Benyu and Hayes.

    Thumbs up.

Is it just the big defender from down England we're being linked with?

Ralston's a RB and Miller is a LW, though. Would rather see young Miller get a chance at LW if Sinclair ever needs rested than that Hayes.

I know what you're saying but Ralston has played on both sides for the development squad, though primarily a RB he can cover, Miller has been shoehorned as a LB by Rodgers himself as he clearly sees his future there and doesn't see him as a winger.

Though not ideal Hayes has played about 50 odd games for Aberdeen as LB and knows the position, McGregor filled in their last year too.

Rodgers himself said if he didn't think he had the appropriate cover he wouldn't have let Izzy go, so he clearly thinks he has more than enough cover

I'd much rather we let Ralston and Miller have a crack at back-up full back for * all than the usual clown-car of * we have dragged in over the years.

Save the money and hope KT and Lustig/Gamboa do the job. Next season, with big Mik's legs another year older, we'll need to prioritise a first-team RB. This window's priority is a CB capable of challenging for the first 11 and a back-up up front. Jozo/Boyata/Sviat/New CB/Ajer is a good pool to draw from. Having an up and coming lad from PSG on loan with buy clause is very smart and hopefully plays out well.

Think the Rivaldo deal has put us off balance a little, so hopefully we get in our second choice - more than willing to believe whoever that may be, we've not heard his name mentioned yet. Hold out hope, but not my breath.

There's not a chance he'd accept 30k a week, he'll be looking for double that. Same with the transfer fee, they signed him for £6 million and since then he's solidified his place in the Belgian international setup.

We need an experienced centre back, Boayata is still weeks away, Erik's head is gone and injury problems, Bitton not good enough, Lustig probably best option just now, Ajer still young and risky to thrown him in against PSG.

Lustig as a cb is awful, no way would i play him there. I'd replace him from rb nevermind move him to cb

Most people going on about a cb, I'd much rather sign a GK and just take the hit and release DDV.

For the record, these daft suggestions of mirallas and mangala do not reflect on the rest of us more sensible folk, who do want to spend a little more.

No point handing out those sort of wages at all. Madness.
But 3million on another jozo/virgil/whoever and wages of 15-20k should be our aim.

Sinclair on the left, paddy on the right. What position are you planning on putting mirallas in to!?
He ain't getting ahead of either of them unless we sell sinclair/don't bring paddy in.
So yeah, hayes as back up is * good business.

Not that we could actually afford mirallas or he would come here or course. But beside the point. We aren't looking at another wide player, we have 4 of them. Two for the left in Sinclair and hayes and two for the right in paddy and forrest.

Aye but he's in and out of the everton team, hasn't been a regular starter for ages now.

Again like mentioned before given the size of our midfield he's not needed if no one else our end is sold, but he's certainly in a bracket where Celtic should be looking into, guys that have the talent but for whatever reason never seem to nail a spot.

I really worry gordon is going to cost us, I can't understand what goes on in his head nearly gives away a goal and makes the defence nervous every game. Great shot stopper at times but we need to get somone else more reliable

Things are not worse at all. Bar ntcham, going by your stupid argument, we stayed the same. Not worse, same.

But you know, hayes is an improvement on gms. We do have 3 right backs. We do have cover at left back in Miller. We rightly do only have one fit cb, but we have 3 quality ones when fit, and a young prospect that looks the part.

So aye, apart from all that...

Yeah, think there was a thread started at the end of last season asking what we would like transfer wise, pretty sure my main suggestion was a new gk in the mold of a Forster.

A GK for me I think has been a constant theme for me, with a solid and dominant GK between the sticks it would go a long way to helping our defence feel a little more settled and controlled.
