I'm not as obsessed with this thread as I was prior to last nights result.

I will still randy marsh it when it's announced, but I am a lot more relaxed seeing as we have made the CL groups. (Pretty much..)

When could we seriously expect to see him back? If city are waiting to seeing if we qualify for the CL then surely they must sanction the move now

I think we'll buy him, but Man City will either insert a buy back clause in the deal or receive a high percentage of a future sale.

Basically after the CL Group has been announced next Thursday I would suggest, let's hope it's a permanent.

For the length of time we have apparently been in talks hopefully that suggests a permanent deal is on the table.

I'll take that, in fact that could be better than getting him straight on a permanent. Get him on loan for another season, sign him up on a for 4 year contract after that and then keep him for another 2 years before selling him if we wishes for a massive profit.

We could potentially be looking at having him for around 4 and a half years if that's the way it transpired which would be incredible to have a player of Paddy's ability at our club for so long.

In all seriousness, a loan to buy makes literally zero sense.

We are hardly going to refuse the buy option, are we? As long it isn't anything obscene.

I don't see why it would make sense. For both sides.

You've got to imagine City want more than we are willing to pay at the moment and with Celtic and the player pushing for the move, City may say take the loan just now and then we'll look at the price again at the end of this season..

City hold the cards, either we pay want they want just now or after another successful season we pay even more a year later..

I really hope I'm wrong but it may be unlikely Paddy is ever a Celtic player permanently..

Now would be the time to really push the boat out on a permanent deal as his stock is only going to rise.
