    Look I want paddy just as much as everyone and gutted that nothing has happened in night. Just pointing out Chris may have been told something and it just hasn't happened. Like it or lump it am pretty sure Chris will know more about what is going inside Celtic than me or you.

    Anyway, I hope this still happens. Even if we haven't got him in for the Astana games

    Very dissapponted in suttons actions, it was like he wanted hits on the BT facebook page and used celtic fans, he said breaking celtic news coming up on BT facebook soon, pretty *, then he likes a tweet saying he meant before the end of the window, he clearly made out it wss before last nights deadline.

    It's one of those ones where he needed to be a lot smarter with his word choices. Clearly they both wanted to use it for the hits to BT sport. But it's going to have backfired. A lot of folk will remember that from Sutton and not take him at all serious now if he ever talks about transfer news again.

    Sorry to requote my own post but I still don't think it's far off....the only thing I would add is that gambling with CL qualification every year is naive and stupid from the board.
    You have to speculate to accumulate.

    Even if he did make the 11pm deadline last night, I think it would have been very far fetched for him to play tonight other than a last 10min appearance as a substitute.

    Brendan would need to assess his fitness before throwing him in at the deep end.

    What we can hope for is that he will be in the squad by next Tuesday for the return leg. That would be a more realistic expectation.

    No qualms about big Chris's comments yesterday, he was giving us an update and has made us all more confident that by the 31st August, Paddy will be back in the hoops.

    Would have been such a great lift if we'd got him in. GB back in town plus Paddy. Would help us forget we have a makeshift CB, only one fit striker and a guy who looked like he could be future captain leaving/running his contract down.

    We should be able to beat them regardless but would make a massive difference with Roberts playing.

    If he does eventually make it back here the pressure he will be under to perform will be huge. Being heralded as a returning messiah. No matter how talented he is the hype and amount of talk around this transfer could have a negative effect on him initially.
