Thing is, I bet half the guys singing the Rigby song probably would agree it was crass and bad natured, without the umpteen pints. Drunk folk do stupid things, no excuse, but that's the bones of it.

As soon as a Scottish club go South * get overly patriotic and antagonistic, it's like a switch as soon as you cross that border. Guys that sat on their sofa watching the news break on Rigby in disgust, guys that couldn't give a * about Scotland suddenly become tartan army loyal and hate England (Britain) 100x more than they did at Gretna Green.

This is the psyche of football fans, blokes all over the world.

OTT policing. Celtic v Linfield arrests for violence? No for banners. Hitler started this in Berlin before seizing power. Always the poets and rebels that fall first.
Funny watching BBC last night and they were so in favour of Venezuelan people taking up arms against the oppressive regime that control them. Watch any videos and but for skin colour it could be Belfast. But the government say we support terrorism. Doesn't matter if you don't support the IRA but want your voice heard, you are a trouble maker. Westminster fear socialism and we are a big voice in the Scheme of things.

Shambles. I just wonder what sort of influence Celtic have in this process and I wonder how much they will be "happy" with what's going on.

    Quite poor if they have.

At the end of the day football is football!! the GB are amazing for Celtic...... if they leave all the political * at the door.

Its these banners, folk singing songs that are banned, playing into a wee dicks hands and attacking a shop and going around singing about a poor boy who was horrifically killed in the street that is giving this club a bad name! there will be people that agree with me and people who don't. I for 1 wouldn't miss these people at Parkhead.

Don't comment much but this stuff makes me mad. Just curious to know if any of those Orange Walk guys singing the Famine song a few weeks ago have been arrested. Because surely the police work involved in identifying people from pics or videos is the same, so why one group and not the other?

Charged for holding up a banner with a skull wearing a beret and camo gear with an Easter Lily on it?

What exactly is the charge here? That is worrying as * that you can be lifted for that.

Yet again more young lads will be dragged through the criminal system, messing up their lives and for what, what exactly have they done wrong?

Apparently there were 13 people arrested with regards to the banner, not mentioned by the press though. Because the individual was able to prove they weren't present at Celtic Park that night. Indeed they weren't even in the country.

Which leads to more questions on this subject.

    * sake, dawn raids on folk holding up banners. Really putting the tax payers money to good use, never mind the fact that the Manchester attack showed how understaffed and short of funding the police are they are * wasting resources on a bullshit bill that will see all charges dropped once in court.

Yes the banners may offend some people but everyone is offended easily nowadays so are they just going to throw freedom of speech and expression out the window? Start lifting folk with gay pride flags because it offends the ignorant morons? Or people with a Palestine flag because it supports the people being oppressed by a country the yanks and British are in bed with.

    What a * joke.
