He must something about him, if he got POTY at Forest. Hasn't shown it here, obviously. Struggling to remember a save he's made in his time here..:giggle1:

Would be a great signing. Makes sense too. Still young, experienced and Rodgers knows him well, so would fit right in. Get him fit, healthy and playing and you'll have a 10m pound defender on our hands for hope fully buttons again.

    Aye.

At the very least it would tide us over till Boyata is back in and if it doesn't work out go for a CB in January and spend proper money.

This could honestly be a masterstroke though if there is something in it. As with most transfers, of Rodgers thinks he has the right attitude then I won't argue.

Well there is Joel Campbell then.
Would you take Campbell if we couldn't get Roberts ?

Aye, no brainer if we couldn't get Roberts. 2.6m for a seasoned international, in Campbell.

I'm not saying Hazard can come in and sweep up the starting role, don't even think he's 20 yet. Needs a loan or two before he can look at first team action, but I think Rodgers likes him and sees him as a future option.

I think we might see a stop gap or a back up brought in during the January window or next summer, to bridge the gap between Gordon phasing out and Hazard or Doohan possibly taking the reigns if they prove their quality. Think Gordon will be here for a few more years if Rodgers has his way.

I think if you know anything about Football you can look at it a bit deeper and realise players are better suited to certain systems, certain managers etc. Also if they're young and immature or have personal issues then that can have an impact. To say he wasn't rated at Spurs and they used good PR or whatever to get rid of him is crap! My mate's a season ticket holder there and he said Daniel Levy simply never forgave him for a few off field issues, which were pretty innocent, but Levy being Levy said that was it and took £8 million or whatever it was. He was brilliant at Swansea, like a few lads said he was brilliant in the first year at Cardiff then it all kicked off there and Malky McKay got the sack. That was one of the reasons he went there, - Brendan Rodgers had told McKay about him. As we know they are mates from Watford. After that he went to QPR and they have been the biggest basket case in England in the last few years. Redknapp got the sack and they've had had a new manager every 8 months since. Where he let himself down/it went wrong is when he went on loan to Liverpool and Southampton. Well we now know he's had depression and was out at the boozer and gambling after training so Klopp and Koeman are hardly going to play him are they? I saw him in a cup game, I'm sure he was actually playing for Southampton against Liverpool and he was rotten, but that's not the real player. I was wondering what was going on, but he's admitted that he wasn't training, playing with injures, on medication and everything else so that explains it. By all means think a player is poor or whatever but back it up. Did you seen him live or was it a few games on tv for QPR when the whole team, including Krancjar, Barton, Clint Hill, and the Brazilian midfielder that you or someone else mentioned were all a disgrace! And that team is still a disgrace now. They've got that comedy act Holloway in charge now! Back up your points a bit better mate!

I also meant to say that the way we press the game with a high line then it means we can be caught out on the counter attack. Caulker is very quick over a distance, which the video the lad put up doesn't show. That's why I think it should be obvious why certain players might do better in certain teams. For me that's one of the reasons Rodgers doesn't pick Sviatchenko, he's not the quickest.

Not sure if he'd actually improve our defence, English defenders are way to iffy for me.

More reliable than most as he at least used to have connections with Celtic but I don't think he knows as much as you'd think.

Hasn't really said much either, just saying what loads of other places are that we are apparently in contact with him.

Would be delighted with this. He had great potential and lost his way, but Brendan would get the best out of him.

With the way Rodgers has been able to get the best out of lost souls I'd be all for this signing, might be a little slower then I would like a modern CB to be nowadays but there is something in him that I think only someone like Rodgers could get out.

Would be delighted with this. BR knows him and he is a good player. He has had his personal problems and I think a move to Celtic would be great for him as well as us.
