I'd take any good LB, even Steven Smith.

lol. Smith's not a football player he is a permanent resident of the NHS.

can everyone get over Hypia and Van Buyton please?
Hypia signed a new contract last week with liverpool and Klinsmen is taking over the hotseat at Bayern Munich and has told Van Buyton that he is not going anywhere as he is part of his plans. i don't think any Fiorentina players are going to come to us in the summer. they are pushing for a Champions League spot in Serie A.

    Potential Targets
Hugo Lloris - a year left on his Nice contract
Kasper Schmiecal - told Sven he wants away from Man City
Andreas Isaksson - doesn't get a game at Man City
    Igor Akinfeev - good keeper
Guirane N'Daw - we have been linked with him since last summer
Per Mertesacker - good young german centre back
Mamadou Sakho - PSG are in the relagation zone
Jeremy Berthod - good left back at Monaco
Michael Bradley - looking to leave Heerenveen
Kim Kallstrom - looking to leave Lyon
Yohann Gourcuff - possible loan move due to lack of first team appearances at Milan
Vladimir Bystov - * fast winger
Johan Elmander - quality striker, Toulouse in the drop zone as well in France
Roman Pavlyuchenko - quality striker. would score a bucket full
Yoan Gouffran - another quality striker for mid table Caens

any of the above arrive at paradise and i'll be smiling:celt_2:

but we will need to spend money instead of buying bench fillers like Killen etc for nothing!

Mertesacker? Not a chance imo. He's young and has got 40 caps for Germany ffs. If he relishes a new challenge then he'll only get that at a big club in a big league.

He did. The Ideal Bhoy. I hope Rangers aren't seriously trying to grab him.

lol i noticed that too last night.:icon_mrgreen:

what would you guys think of a cheeky bid for kahka kaladze? AC Milan are looking to overhaul their squad in the summer.

or if they bid £10 + Kaladze for Boruc i would bite their hand off. but thats just my opinion.

Forum talk! I love it! The defense is taking a pounding here, you all have to appreciate the GS factor. Ok we were asked our team and that's fine, we can all dream. Truth is we won't be getting any oustanding signings. Most, if not all the players mentioned in this thread will attract Premiership interest, and that shuts the door on Celtic. The exception being Given in to replace Boruc which could be a reality, but i don't think he's good enough, but he'll do ok in the SPL. Some members gave Brown a hard time saying he's not first team material, we'll I'll remind you that at ICT he was the SPL's most consistent shot-stopper --- he is a decent goalie! although I'm not suggesting I'd not replace Boruc, just that Brown is better than many think. To those that think GS will dismantle the defense for next season, it's not gonna happen! He talks about stats and we've conceded less goals in the SPL than any other team and GS continuely backs them at every turn, I don't expect too many changes. Although personally I'd say we need a seasoned international defender to work beside Mick, who we all forget is still quite young and learning his game. Samaras (IMO) is a bit of a pre-madonna and will opt for the first Premiership club that offers MC enough cash, he won't settle for the SPL.
I think the squad next season won't look to different to the one we end this season with...........unless we have a new manager!

And Mark Noble would do just that, he is a quality player with loads of potential. He is one of the best players in the current west ham squad and one of the best young midfielders in the premiership!

i agree he's a quality player, some great performances this year but realistically if he leaves west ham it wont be for celtic, he's a die hard hammers fan too, born right beside upton park

We'll live without buying a CM for now, get me CB like Ignashevitch first, and Robbie Keane upfront.

this is true but a decent wage, champions league football and playing for a team as big as celtic must appeal to any 20 year old at least a little bit! would love to see him at celtic, miles better than * donati!

ok, with Donati in our squad anyone is an improvement in our squad.

in all honesty though, theres a reason why no one else is after him. its because Noble isn't that great a player and probably never will be. just because he is one of the best players at West Ham.........they have only Ashton, Bellamy and Green. i'd rather see money spent elsewhere in the team. like a newe centre back and striker.

sell: balde(to get rid of near 30k of wages), gravson (1 million+ wages),killen (500k aint going to get chance), sno(loan), quinn(loan), obrien(free wont get chance out of contract), doumbe (250-500k injury prone), donatti (2-3 mil doesnt fit scottish game), JVOH (if money was too good to refuse like more than we paid if he does well in euros say like 6 million offer from over priced epl) would raise about few million potentially more if arthur leaves for 10-12 mil (we should be demanding at least 14
