Roy Keane for Celtic:

Would he balls, he's a money grabbing *, thats why he wants to come to Celtic!

Secondly, Smith a replacement for Keano? cant see it myself, he's not the tennacios player whos going to run half the length of the pitch to his own box to stick in a challenge!

 

But is it what Celtic are looking for to progress further? Personally, i don't think so!

 

Specially not in the next 2 seasons when everyone seems to think he'll sign on for Celtic. Just a 35 year old claiming to be a hardcore hoops fan wanting another wage packet!

 

the only time he'll be at CP is to watch a game. If he's as big a tic fan as he says he would of come long ago. He has seeing his better days we don't need anymore old workhorses we need a few 25-27 year old players.

he had his chance years ago when he said it was his dream to play for us, then he signed a new deal at utd, not much of a fan then, no use coming to us when he is 35.

 

I suspect someone has fallen off the top of a fruitcake here,the idea is nuts.He has said he would be coming to Celtic for years,& he has as a supporter.Whilst this current side is probably the most shambolic in recent history, he's not that mad he would give up playing for a side capable of winning in europe to come & help a side that can't beat a 3rd rate pub team from Slovakia.Whilst his commitment when he plays can never be questioned I suspect like most footballers his commitment to himself ,his wages & his ego are far greater.Don't get me wrong he's better than what we currently have if he was in traction but Celtic should never be in anyones retirement plan.

 

The last thing Celtic need is another hasbeen because that's what Roy Keane would be by the time he came to Celtic, why add to the already existing problem ?

 

I dont think we could afford his wages and we would probably have to drop Lennon to accomodate him. Lennon is one of our better players, ignoring his performance on wednesday, and the team would therefore not be greatly strengthened by his arrival.

I would still love him to sign, just to see how much he would wind up the huns.

 

I'd personally love tae see him at CP. He has always been one o' my fave players.

hes a *! been talking about joining celtic for the last 5 years. if he thinks that celtic would only be good enough for him when hes 35 then the fella has no respect, would do more damage than good. Saipan anyone??

 

We need to rebuild an already aging team with players around 26-28yrs and some talented youngsters. Keane is past his best and don't kid yourself, a hefty pay packet would be expected from this guy. Sorry, but as much as I always though he was a great player and leader, he is not what CFC need at the moment.

 

i'd love to see him at parkhead, still has 2 good years in him.
can't see it happening this season though.

my sentiments exactly, i hate hearing this finish my career at celtic( what when your past your best and lookin to fill out the pension) * OFF a real celtic fan would have been playin by now. and against the orcs hed be sent off in the first half, got no impulse control
