Hard to argue with that. Joined us at a similar age as well and with similar reputations ( talented but never really settled ). Scott could take alot of inspiration from what Larsson did here 2000-2004.

Why do England fans hate their own players so much? I just find it crazy how a Scottish fan base can take to and England player so much yet his home nation despise him for no reason. He's clearly talented and was wasted at Villa yet they just refuse to accept how good he is.

SCOTT Sinclair says that scoring a hat-trick against Hearts today at Tynecastle to help Celtic claim a sixth title on the spin was a cathartic moment in his football career.

The 28-year-old bagged a brace in the first half to put the Hoops in command in Edinburgh and, following goals from Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts, he scored from the penalty spot with five minutes left on the clock to claim his treble and seal a 5-0 demolition of the capital club.

It was a fitting way for Brendan Rodgers’ side to cross the finishing line after a dominant league campaign in which they have gone 37 matches without defeat in domestic football.

And it all started back in August at this same ground, when Sinclair, making his Celtic debut just hours after he had completed move from Aston Villa, came off the bench to score the winning goal.

Since then, Sinclair has gone from strength to strength, rediscovering his best form after some tough times at Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Collectively, Celtic have also motored on relentlessly from that moment, sweeping all before them to seal the championship with eight games to spare, having won 28 matches and drawn twice.

Speaking after the game, Sinclair said: “I have a good memory of starting my Celtic career here, coming off the bench here and scoring a winner and now today, scoring a hat-trick and winning the game and the title.

“It means so much to me because of the amount I have been through in the past few years, not knowing where my career was going to end up.

"Getting relegated with Villa was tough and I didn’t know where I was going. It was frustrating when you can’t show your attributes and what you do in the team and it’s great that I have come here and am showing it week-in, week-out.

“To score a hat-trick to tie-down the league, words can describe how I’m feeling as it’s great. If you had asked me about this 18 months ago I wouldn’t have had this thought.

On his decision to become a Celtic player last summer, he added: “You have the thoughts and feelings of what you think it’s going to be like but to be honest it’s worked out better than I expected and now it’s to keep working hard and keep looking forward and keep performing in games.”

“Coming here, the main thing was to enjoy football again. I had lost that a bit, going to City and not getting a sniff for two years, sometimes not even making the bench and training on your own. As a player that can be mentally draining and it can affect you on and off the field. I dug deep and I stuck with it and now I’m getting the rewards.”

Really nice sentiments there from Sinclair, can see that means a lot to him. Didn't know he could play striker so well too.

A large percentage of Premiership fans don't have a clue about football.

They can't fathom why Sinclair scores goals for Celtic and not Aston Villa.

For a start he's playing in a different half of the pitch.

Honestly can see us extending his contract end of next season, tieing him down till he is 33 and perhaps then even retiring here. He is happy, he gets adolation from the fans and gets to win medals. His head is screwed on and has said before about money not being a factor to him.
Only thing that could put a spanner in it, is Helen if she ever wanted to move south. But then, she will probably be happy that Scott is happy and knows its only a few years then he can follow her and her career.

Guys * amazing. Player of the year for sure, it just a shame we cant give that title to him and Armstrong.

Crazy to think those fannies at Villa were playing him at full back. Insane. No knowledge of talent or football.

Celtic hero Scott Sinclair was left behind at Tynecastle this afternoon after the newly-crowned champions’ team bus drove off without him.
The 28-year-old scored a hat-trick as the Parkhead side wrapped up a sixth consecutive Premiership title with a 5-0 victory over Hearts.
However, he was left briefly fretting when he learned that he had been left all on his own in enemy territory after carrying out a host of post-match interviews.
Around 3.45pm – 75 minutes after the match finished – Sinclair emerged from the Tynecastle tunnel and walked along the side of the pitch towards the exit between the Roseburn Stand and the Main Stand.
He appeared to be in a rush, aware that he was the last member of the squad to get out of the stadium. And he was soon informed by Hearts staff that the bus carrying his title-winning team-mates had already left and shot off westbound along Gorgie Road.
A phone call was made to inform the driver that the hero of the hour had been left behind and Sinclair – clutching the match ball and his man-of-the-match champagne – briefly returned to the stadium to sign a few autographs while he waited on the champions’ bus to roll back into McLeod Street.
