    just found out smeato"john smeaton" is a fraud, looks like our local hero is a local * a fraud

    i dont know the details but everythings not as it seeems

    I always thought it was a bit strange how there was film of all the other guys helping out, but never any footage of Smeaton.

    And just how hard have you got to kick someone in the baws to damage your own tendon ??.......OUCH !

    I just find this an amazing story, the whole Smeato episode. I'm not totally surprised this has come out, it is Scotland and it wouldn't be very Scottish if an apparent 'success story' didn't blow up in our faces.

    I said before that I could see Smeato end up in the gutter, a classic rags to riches to rags story. Maybe this is the start of it.

    I've never really liked him...jus cos he acted 'game' in an interview doesn't mean *... I saw the footage on the internet.... all he did was drag an injured person away...

    Over 1,400 pints are paid for and metaphorically lined up, on the bar at the Glasgow Airport Holiday Inn, with John Smeaton’s name on them.
