    €3.5m (~£3) upfront is a small fee, but the 15% of an 'inevitable' £15m-ish sell-on (€2.6m) for a player that needs development to proceed is good business on the Russian sides part...

    Edit: i mean that from a business side, it's good business for us too... very happy to go for this type of potential talent.

    The face that we're signing him on the first day of the window makes me so much more excited than if this was the last day. It means we've kept tabs on him for a while, wanted him and got the business done, rather on the last day of the window which means we couldn't get any of our initial targets, have panicked and signed the first player we could get our hands on. We're just such an impressive, professional, outfit under Brendan.

    Said he is more technically gifted and offers more of a threat going forward whereas Vic is more of a destroyer. Sounds like he has a bit of everything about him.
