What was odd but good was when they went a goal up and in complete fairness were playing well I was * off but not panicking, under Ronnie I know I would have been, once again we have seen the importance and influence of Brendan Rodgers, even if we had of gone in at half time a goal down I truly believe in him, the difference now that we have a proper manager is light and day from even last season under Ronnie.

We kept playing our football and eventually we ended up taking over the possession and lions share of the play and chances, Sinclair and Dembele were outstanding and always posed a big threat.

Although there were some nervy moments at the back there was also some great defending at time by the 2 centre backs, Sevco were far from pish and threw the lot into that game but again the character and management of our team was first class and ultimately was their downfall as they didn't have the class to deal with Dembele, Sinclair and Armstrong for a whole 90 minutes.

Despite the usual hot air this was never going to be an easy game and the way it's started proved that but once again this season we've shown character and class we haven't seen for a good few years and something tells me this season could be a special one indeed, I'm not going to start talking about unbeatables etc just yet but certainly a treble and a record breaking gap between first and second is a very realistic possibility.

I won't get too ahead of myself but will enjoy the few weeks break and look forward to the second half of what could be a wonderful season

 

I hope the Green Brigade pick up on it shortly. I've got it copyrighted and patented. This time next year we'll be millionaires!
