    Saw a few threads I could've used this in, but didn't want to go off topic!

    Right, so I know how childish I sound but I've got a real bollocking off my mum for downloading from WinMX.

    My mum was watching some Richard and Judy crap and apparently where you're downloding from they can see stuff in your computer somehow, *? Beats me. I'm lost and people download from me, I download from them, I don't see ANY way of hacking into someone's personal things, not that I would like this because it is sick. Arrgh, there's always something to warn your parent's and ruin your fun on the box. If I'd have seen this I think I would've exploded coz it makes no sense at all to me.

    Was anyone sad enough to catch this Richard and Judy thing or some kinda day time show?

    there are safe and unsafe ways to download stuff...

    winmx is not safe...

    Most of them are unsafe really if you dont have a clue what you are doing...

    Luckily i know what im doing...

    they can access anything in shared folder or whatever you allow to share. I only download music from internet through sites or itunes.

    There not * interested in hasbeens who download freebies. They are after the guys who set up sites and upload megashit for free distro.

    You are about as big a catch to them as a gnat on the boil on the * of a barnacle, is to a fisherman.

    If you have Peer Guardian and a good firewall like Kerio they will have a tough job hacking into your comp.
    If you think your being hacked turn of your modem for a few hours,then they wont get to you.

    These things are killing The Music Industry, I think CDs should be reduced in price and I-Tunes etc should lower their Prices slightly as well, LimeWire etc should be closed there's alot of disgusting * on it as well.

    agree with you mate! the music industry is losing a lot of money and so is the movie industry because people dont buy anything anymore they just download it
