Has anyone else been following the Presidential election?

McCain finally clinched the Republican nomination, but the guy is 72 ffs, surely too old for office.

I have to admit I've found it a lot more interesting than any election I've voted in over here. Clinton or Obama? It's so tight, but I think Hillary Clinton has maybe timed her comeback well with Pennsylvania next up.

And in case anyone thinks this has nothing to do with us, just look at what happened with the last guy voted in. The result of this election has repercussions for all of us.

I read somwhere that the KKK (also known as Alabama Loyal Rangers Supporters Club) are actually supporting Obama in the race for the Democratic nomination. The reasoning behind this is that they hate the Clintons more than they hate African-Americans (or maybe they hate women more - that would stand to reason).

I'm tempted to vote for a democrat because of Bush, but I like McCain a lot. He is not a Bush republican, you can tell because all the real hardcore conservatives on tv don't like him.

So what happens now?Assuming Obama wins Mississippi and Wyoming and Billary takes Pennsylvania.. Does it come down to the convention and the super delegates?...
McCain is as mad as a bag of stoats and there's no way he''ll go the whole campaign without doing summat ridiculous

If the polls are accurate that's how it will play out. But the Democrat delegates are elected proportionally, so even if a candidate loses the state they still get some delegates.

So neither Obama or Clinton will reach the number needed. I don't know how the super delegates will vote, but what happens then if the person who wins the popular vote then loses the nomination. Not exactly democracy in action is it?

Maybe a re-vote in Michigan and Florida will be needed to settle it.
