I've been threatened before for persistant ignorance by standing when I was told to get to my seat and had them threaten to take my season book and ban me from the stadium. I'm no longer an ignorant *, looks like your fans didn't heed their warning and got booted. Not our problem.

read the posts again, story is consistent. I first called mate to confirm if monkey chants were made, he was at the game and is a Leeds supporter. He said guys two rows down were also ejected for chanting Black B*****D at BoBo. He also confirmed there was loud monkey chants when BoBo was on the ball! He was puzzled as they seamed to be Scottish, but as you state, you may have a large Scottish following...............who have been proved to be racist.

Cheers mate, if this true mate, i will gladly hand out apologies to every single person on this board, but from what my father told whos followed Leeds for over 50 years and seen the good and bad time etc with racism has told me and so have many of my mates, they say its all bollocks.

Sanders- Do you not find sitting down at matches a little tedious for atmosphere etc? Apart from these allegations, which may be true, most Leeds fans conducted themselves brilliantly today. My mums brother, a staunch Celt says Leeds fans chanting today was awesome from start to finish.

Stewards don't bother you if you are standing at an appropriate time but if for example someone is taking a throw-in at the middle of the park and your just standing, they would ask you to sit because you could be obstructing someone's view. They are just taking into concideration everyone's view and keep in mind Celtic Park is a big stadium it's not fair to stand and obstruct someones/peoples view of the game when there is no need to.

Keep in mind I don't make up the rules, but I have been told to sit in my seat by some * cheeky stewards but at the end of the day, that's what they are paid for :87:

With your sentiments i agree mate, but as i say theres no point following Leeds away and then complaining. Your stewards today were acting like complete tossers today, even your own plod were having a go at the stewards. From a Leeds message board, two Leeds fans were ejected for chanting aggresively:87:

Happens to us as well mate, especially in the cornor of the Main stand and the Jock Stein stand. Some of the poor punters up the back get thrown out because they are disturbing people by chanting songs and are * out of their minds.

Thats the problem with Leeds fans though, ever since the 60's they do as they please.

Media once again have blown this all out of proportian once again, as they do with many things with Leeds. Last season, our final away game of the season at Leicester was marred with trouble, as smart Leicester fans for no reason started on the Istanbul *, Leeds fans reacted angrily towards this, and many main tabloid newspapers were blaming it all on Leeds fans, saying Leeds fans were kicking off for no reason.

What * people off most in Leeds, is its your own grassing you in. Many times in the Gelderd, i've seen people, not even regulars but lucky enough to get a seat in the Gelderd, and don't like the standing up or some of the chanting, they'll go down stairs, within 5 mins you've got the whole West Yorkshire police kicking off with you in the stands.

Cheers Zamas, all the best for Celtic in't future, hope Wee Gord does the business for yer

    Please digress?

They'll be getting a welcoming party at Elland Rd this year, thats for sure! The way they acted last year was inhumane.

Not long back from the match, overall kinda disappointed. T'was my first hoops game since october '03 and no goals, Oh well got the CL game to look forward to now !

Zurawaski looks very promising, he never got much of a chance but when he did get looked exciting. Garedyne (sp?) looks good, Shuan Maloney looks to have come back better than ever since his injury. Overall I was largely impressed by the youngsters. Shame we didn't get that stone-waller though

Whats wrong with LUFC? His posts have been fair, and I think he is right, you can not judge everyone with the same book. Some Leeds fans are racist * but a lot will be decent.

I've heard our own fans making monkey chants at Bobo..which is worse. Maybe the Leeds fans did make monkey chants but not all of them did.

Anyway to the game...another * draw. I hope we can change this by wednesday and I think we will! We must start scoring goals.

  15. I was at that one. Apparently loadsa Leeds fans mixing with the Huns. Annoyed me alot because it gave Leeds a reputation to being close to the Huns. Also, I heard they were causing bother with Celtic fans, mostly the thugs. I think the thugs are the only hun connection, I posted a thugs banner last week, with Leeds, Rangers and England crests and the Ulster red hand with No surrender down the middle of the banner.
Also, yes at Celtic Park I have heard quite a few racists, at our own players aswell, but it's a small minority there as Celtic is known to be a club open to all people with different ethnical backgrounds. At Leeds I know it's a minority, but some of the chants I've heard are quite racist and it is a very mixed part of Yorkshire, so you expect this sorta thing alot.

Please explain these racist chants mate? Yes, in the 80's you heard these chants, but you heard them up and down the nation. I've seen that banner before, but Leeds is split, with many siding with Celtic and many with Rangers.

look its a simple case of people being branded under one umbrella. every set of supporters has a bad element, football clubs represent society, with supporters coming from different backrounds and having differening political views etc. ive been to one leeds game v man u and although the fans hate each other, the worst that was sung was about posh spice, me included. its life, chelsea, millwall, cardiff and leeds all have reputations may it be from the past or continued to the present. england, like it or not has a large element of racists, just like scotland and the 6 counties have a huge sectarian population. there were monkey chants at yesterdays game, yes it was unfortunate and that act has no place in a football ground or society. a good point about mark walters LUFC, would any of us like to be called racist because of a mindless act by a couple of losers?... i dont think so....

what happened was wrong but we should'nt go and denounce all leeds fans as racist. were more mature than that.

  18. Well, if you would like me to PM the words to one of these.

Ye, there is quite a few about posh spice and the Beckham family in general which is quite sick.

Talking about Rangers connections there is a song sang at Leeds games called YRA.

    Feel free mate!

BW-Brilliant post, i just thought some reactions were completely OTT on here. Yes, there were some no doubt alcohol fueled monkey chants by some "cant handle" there booze prats, but this does not represent them 1000 fans up in Glasgow yesterday.

You lot * hate Leeds, i've been reading several Celtic boards prior to this friendly, which i myself believe should not have happened considering 1999 and Hibernian last year, many of these boards despise Leeds and openly denounce Leeds fans and my club as scum, but each to their own eh?

YRA? Jesus mate, i thought you could come up with something better than that. YRA has * all to do with Rangers, Leeds don't have good relations with either of the old firm clubs. YRA is about Yorkshires Republican army, nothing to do with Rangers, and if anything would be more biased towards your club, IRA etc...

We're the YRA, We're Yorkshire Republican Army
We're barmy where ever we go
    We fear no foe
    For we are the YRA

    Where is the Rangers connection?
