    We don't always 'get destroyed' though, do we? I fail to understand your outlook tbh. There are really no bad teams or nobodies in the CL anyway.

    Agree with this. There was nothing fun about getting beat 6-1 by Barcelona a few years back. Winning the CL is next to impossible but we should be looking to progress as far as possible in european competition every season rather than just adopting the happy to be there attitude.

    The CL is glamour enough for me. Winning ties at the big table, putting in a good performance and potentially getting further is glamour.

    We don't need quality teams to feel that 'glamour' and take a pumping.

    Im philosophical about it. On any given night at CP, we can turn it on. We could easily get a couple of draws or a win and a draw at home.....and with them all slitting each others throats, you never know.

    * sake boys, some folk are never happy. That draw is the reason we all wanted to reach the champions league. Drawing Barcelona is boring - Really!!!. We were in pot 4 so it didn't matter what group we were in, we would be underdogs.

    I know it would be great to get to the last 16 but we've got to be realistic and say that qualification would be very difficult regardless of the group.

    I might be wrong but is it not the case that income from TV coverage may increase as a result of the teams we will pay. If so, it's a great draw.
