This and whether its a glamorous group or a * group we still make the same money so give me the '*' group every time.

 

Maybe the worst draw we could have got. And not just the difficulty either, but it's a bit on the dull side compared to what could have been.

 

Actually a bit gutting that group, I fear being embarrassed in this, judging by how we scraped through the qualifiers, we really need some quality and that included a new striker who can bag goals at this level, new RB, new CM, maybe even another new CB...

 

Where are you getting your tablets, cos they're obviously working and I need some.

Last 16 would have been very realistic in 3 of those groups. We do not have a chance in * of progressing from that so why are some people happy with the draw ? Will cost us money ( less wins , draws, no last 16 money ) , will damage confidence in future seasons and do our reputation in europe no good. Will likely be on the wrong end of some maulings when we could have had a very competitive group that we could have won several matches in.

 

All 3 of the teams are arguably the best teams from their respective pots, 'gladbach are a * unit, mate, I'd rather we'd have avoided them all.

 

Ouch , that's one tough group but on the positive side not too far to travel .

 

We have nothing to lose. These teams are on budgets 50 times ours

Deffo a good point. City away is basically staying at home and the other's, especially Gladbach, are quick hop's..

I understand why folk are worried about us getting a mauling in each of the away games, but I don't think that will be the case.

The end of the transfer window will give us a better idea than we currently have.

3/4 more good signings, now that we know what we're facing, will at the very least see us competing for third with Monchengladbach. *, I'd say we'd have a chance of beating the Germans with the squad we have right now.
