Did you not see his team he wanted us to play? Izzy and Janko as our 2 sitting mids :56:

To be fair St.Juste can play in there but we have more than enough players to cover in there, we need this guys quality and pace at the back though.

We don't have enough players for midfield, well not for the position St Juste would play.

Right now we are crying out for a defensive midfielder. Bitton is considered as the best bet for the deepest midfield position in a 3 - the guy is a shitebag who doesn't know how to defend for 90 minutes.

Bitton is going through a * spell, give him time ffs we know what he is capable of doing.
Ajer can play in there as well who looked great at cb so far, his favoured position seems to be defensive midfielder.

Regardless of him going through a * spell, he isn't a defensively minded player. I'm talking about a Wanyama type. Someone who is content to sit in front of the defence and bully the opposition. Bitton is more of a "deep lying playmaker". We need some steel in midfield.

I really want to see Ajer get a chance there, think he suits it perfectly.

It's Brown's job as well in the middle to be the 'enforcer', but since his dramatic decline last season it doesn't work.

Bitton reads the game well and can break up play, obviously nothing like the Wanyama type but has excellent technical ability. Our midfield is just very unbalanced with Brown and Bitton because neither are doing the job they were doing 2 seasons ago.

Hopefully be sooner rather than later for Ajer.

This guy would be a gamble. I would definitely prefer Duffy who we know can perform at the required level. Dutch football is poor at the moment. Would be OK as backup.

This is the type of player and the sort of scouting we need to do. Hopefully will happen,

Duffy would be the kind of no nonsense tough centre half we need as well, imo. Would not say no to him.

I'd be delighted with him and Duffy. Punt Ambrose and boyata pronto.

Of the defenders we have been linked with, this is the guy I want the most. More versatile, very highly rated and seems to suit the way we play more.

Duffy is seemingly pretty slow, and with Erik not being the fastest we need someone with a bit of pace at the back.

    Much more likely than Allen.

Big Brendan is looking for players in for the next qualifier... So I guess we'll find out in the next few days.

would rather duffy or toure for the qaulifiers as we want someone to slot straight in.

not against this would just prefer a bit of experiance.we have quite a young side as it is.

    This would be great.
St Juste and Duffy, and get rid of the two dummies.

    Duffy is quite inexperienced himself.

Ok, he has done more than this boy but there is a 5 year age gap. I would like both of them in mind you. An ideal scenario for me would be Ambrose and Boyata out and those two in.

We'd have the best of both worlds then. A young, up and coming ball playing CB with shades of a smaller VVD and a big 6ft 4 * who is powerful in the air and would fight for the cause.

Would be the best we could hope for. We really should be looking to shift Boyata. Efe has been here far too long. There's still hope for anyone playing for the hoops. He's rank rotten.

I watched Ajer tonight he looked a little shakey with the ball at his feet but very tuned in and focused on his job as a CB. Definitely worth a run in the team.

Definitely looks the business - fast as * and great timing on the tackle.

I'd definitely be excited to see HIM on board!
