It was 4-2-3-1, felt like watching a Ronny Deila team. :86:

I wasn't completely sold on Henderson, even after his cup final heroics, but after last night I'm well on his side. I know it's only one game, but the contrast in performance between the two halves was really typified by him and mcgregor. They were aggressive, disciplined and eager to get on the ball, but crucially, they didn't hold onto it, slowing things down, but rather kept it simple and moved it forward to allow our advanced players to spring the attack. As great as Armstrong, Rogic and Roberts looked, i thought the Hendo/McGregor pairing really allowed these guys to flourish.

They both look wise beyond their years, making the right decisions and putting in the effort. They won't be first choice with Bitton, Brown etc all there, but i'd be looking to these guys, in particular as a partnership as they seemed really comfortable with each other, as the future of our midfield. Very keen to see the next game. Hope they get time together again.

When? Show me when Griffiths bagged goals in the English CHAMPIONSHIP? You'll be looking for a while. There's a big difference between scoring 20 goals in La Liga and the Segunda Division in Spain. MASSIVE difference and Scepovic had never scored any goals in La Liga until AFTER he joined us.

You're coming across as wanting to argue for arguments sake tbh. Also Brendan actually has been on record before as saying even though it's all about fitness and sharpness it's always good to get good results in friendlies and performances to build confidence and momentum so you're talking pish once again. If the team was getting beat 6-0 every friendly then it would most definitely be concerning before the start of the season for example.

At the end of the day who ever impresses the most during these games in each position will be the ones starting the Qualifiers so they are very important in that sense too.
    Indeed they will. :icon_mrgreen:

Anyone remember the scene in The Office when the IT guy is speaking to Gareth about the Bruce Lee films?

Never got to see this, but I thought both our goals were top notch. That second from big Tam and the first caressed touch :35:

He's on another level with his touches..

Some * challenge on Janko. A friendly aye??

Two good goals. Rogic one for me was the best of the two.

Preseason isn't the most exciting time of any football season and results tend to over ride people's opinion of how things are progressing. We do have some good games lined-up. 4 of which are prior to our 1st Champions League qualifier, in quick succession which is no bad thing at this stage. By all accounts Hearts and the Sheep struggled with the 1st legs last night, with little to no game time prior to last night.

Just glad to be back talking about Celtic and seeing glimpses of what we could see this season.

We have literally nobody else who can take a ball at speed and and have a first, or second touch that is so effective and skillful on the eye. Last night and Christie's goal being 2 perfect examples..

He's turned in to a fabulous player, who WILL only get better..
