    Stop talking pish.

Answer this question honestly, do you think Brendan would of came had Rangers not been promoted. My * would he have came here. Like it or not having Rangers in the league brings a lot more attention and money to our league, people miss the old firm. So it's pretty obvious that there would be a rise in ticket sales. Also people are excited that we appointed the best manager possible, a lot of people including myself didn't think it would be possible.

Why would it matter whether or not someone is only buying tickets because Rangers are back? :smiley-laughing002: Would think you would be happy to see Celtic Park full again.

Fat face does have a good point but this is also true. If fat face has been stumping up for a season ticket these past couple of seasons though then serious fair play

Aye, I am ranting a little bit. And no, I am not sure Rogers would have seen Celtic as being as appealing without some sort of challenge in the league. But that assumes that the orcs will challenge for the title and I think that is dubious.

Like any Celtic fan I want to see the stadium as full as possible but there is also something for me about if the fans had backed the club like this for the past few years we might have seen very different outcomes, in Europe for one example.

If anybody is happy to see sevco its the board not the fans, they gave up on the fans when rangers died, but now they are making up for it with what the fans want, sad but imo true.

I know what you're getting at.

I don't necessarily think it's the fans fault though. If the board had shown this much ambition (appointing Rodgers, standing section, frozen ticket prices) when Rangers were out of the league we would be miles ahead of them and I would like to think we would of made an impact in Europe. You can't blame the fans for not going to games when the board appointed a project manager, signing dud SPL players and selling our best players every season. Now the fans have something to be excited about and they're coming back. I don't think it's right to have a go at the fans, particularly on here. When a lot of people on this forum have supported the team the same way they would regardless of the Huns situation.

If the board had shown the slightest ambition since beating Barcelona then the fans would have stayed.

The truth my hole, and what has the huns got to do with your other point of us getting into the Champions League or Europa League, the reason people have flocked back is because of the board actually showing some ambition in getting Rodgers, and where is this challenge your going on about going to come from :icon_mrgreen:

There's no doubt them being in the Spl has had some impact, Rodgers definitely greater but there's a couple of extra games a season people won't wanna miss.

The mrs got us both for my birthday in 113 quite low down too . I prefer 413/and always got tickets for the upper but aye no complaints! Mayby once the season is over with the possible expansion of the standing section depending if it successful or not I might be lucky and already be in the section. Happy days lads its going to be a cracking season.

We got there at 4.15. There was a massive queue but we both agreed to wait, however long it took. After four hours of hunger and dehydration we got seen to, was not complaining, as the people coming out were saying they had been there 8 hours!!!

The lassie in the TO said she expected 51,000+ ST sold. It was absolute murder to wait in, but brilliant for the club!

Got ours in 113, just so glad to have got it, know a couple of people who will be going tomorrow, don't expect it to be that busy though...

When I left Glasgow I had a season ticket for Melbourne Victory. They offered a similar deal in regards to notifying the club to 're-sell' your ticket for the match but it was not guaranteed you would get any $ back. If i remember correctly The more games you gave back or the bigger the game the more you got.

I paid $250 for the season ticket. I did leave Melbourne to come back home on holiday and never done it because I couldn't be bothered and phoning would simply would have been more trouble than it was worth. for what 5 or 10$? If i was lucky.

It worked, yes. It worked because their stadium only held 30k. In a city where the population was 5.5milion and season tickets sales on the rise season on season - there was a decent demand for tickets and often sold out.

Celtic could do it.. Those who did wish to give their seat imo would not see anything back because Celtic would sell their own tickets first and when do we see a full house other than the big matches?

Big games? who would give their tickets up for the big games? Not many. It would work for us if we were in a stadium less than 40k but we have a big stadium with a cap at 52k season ticket sales. There will always be tickets for fans who attend games now and again.

What I think would be better. If season ticket holder did give in their ticket for a match. Celtic could give them to families / children. Season tickets are up again this season. Besides the fact we have a new manager and the buz surrounding us at the moment, it is post recession and there are more people with money to spend again. However there are a lot of people in Glasgow who still rely on food banks and if I could, I would happily donate my ticket to a foodbank so a father/son mother/daughter could have a day out for free.

Queue's there again today, at least they have canopies out to keep the fans in the shade though

    I'm in 106, C

Presumably a similar view, it will be close to head height (maybe slightly higher) of the players, quite low down.

Can usually move about if there's empty seats, which there normally are dotted around.
