Shaping up nicely. Wish Ronnie was afforded the same luxuries.

Seems like BR is planning a long stay. Excited to see who he targets in the transfer market.

Exactly, everybody needs another Glenda...although from what I've heard, Brendan likes a big Nancy boy :56:

Fair play to the lad, his methods helped keep Sturridge fit for a whole season for possibly the only time in his career and helped Gerrard play every minute of the 38 games in the league that same season. If he can do the same for us with Simunovic, Mulgrew, Rogic, Brown etcc there'll be no complaints from me :50:

This guy sounds amazing. Brendan's building a backroom of seriously professional dudes!

I like hearing from people who quite simply know their *. This guy does. All that about fitness by overloading in specific areas is genius. Makes our players' conditioning specifically attuned to their role in the team, no wasted effort. All of this achieved through playing football, not training for a marathon.

All of this seems like a natural evolution from the groundwork Ronny put in. Only this feels a bit like men v boys. No disrespect to Ronny, but this just seems like a more experienced team of guys. Really keen to see how they develop the squad.

Are these guys gonna get a shock when they see what they have to work with?
I mean Suarez, to Leigh Griffiths.

They were at Swansea before Liverpool. Sure we're no worse than they were. Perhaps just see it as a bigger challenge and more room to improve.

We sometimes forget we have a team of full internationalists. There's plenty of quality to work with.

I agree, I don't think we need more than 4 players at the most. We were cruising qualification last year till we took our foot off the gas.

Just need a good motivator and Brendan is the man for that. Expect to see plenty of him on the touchline giving instructions and encouragement.

That's so unfair :smiley-laughing002: Such a bad comparison. Leigh scored 40 goals last season which is no mean feat. Anyone compared to Suarez bar Messi and Ronaldo is going to come off badly.

You could say that Suarez's talent really began to shine brightly at Liverpool. He was great at Ajax but no one expected him to be as good as he turned out, he'll be up for the Balon d'Or this year.

So it might be down to Rodgers and his team including Glenn who made him realise his potential. He'll be looking forward to that challenge here cause we do have a good squad of players which will be even better once it's trimmed and added to.

Griff for 50 goals next season :50:

Great insight. Brown getting huge plaudits, what an attitude that man has!

Interesting to hear about the training performance tracker, didn't know we had technology like that. Seems like the club is taking huge strides.

Just listen to the first minute and ten seconds. Speaks volumes about our club, and the people at our club. First he cites the fitness, with it being an expected exceptional level. Then without hesitation, he begins to list every other team member outside of himself responsible for our players well-being. Class by him, a total representation of what this club has become under Brendan Rodgers. Look at the people we have running the show now. Listen to the way Driscoll discusses the different parts we have to ensure our teams performance levels are top notch.

People always bring up the gap, and usually it's associated with money, or table position. Those are both accurate, but listen to this guy talk and tell me we aren't miles ahead of many other clubs in Britain... let alone Scotland. It's just great to see our club at such a top level of professionalism on and off the pitch.
