Really don't expect any movement before Thursday. If we get through the club is guaranteed European football. Think that will force through a couple of deals. Think the lad wants the move but Villa own his contract & demand £100m if they want. Think the deal will be done at £3m.

Getting frustrated with this one, hopefully completed this week

 

So our fifth bid is only just over £3 million...Embarrassing. Have we been going up by £200k each time?

 

This is starting to get embarassing now. Tell them to * off and forget about this deal I hate dealing with English clubs who overrate and overvalue all their players.

 

If it's true and we have bid that many times and going up pennies at a time then it's * embarrassing, and a bet Rodgers is * as well he obviously knows he's short and the board is taking 2 weeks to put stupid wee penny pinching bids in.

 

Really is pretty embarassing if that is the fourth bid and the first one over £3million. I mean for * sake we have only spent £500,000 on Dembele's development fee and signed Toure on a free transfer. How the * can a club our size be struggling to bid over £3million for a player.

We have no idea how the negotiations have went. What if, as has been suggested, Villa are hinting that a certain bid will be enough, only to reject it?

Since the story first broke about Sinclair its been over a month. We are * at transfer negotiations. Have seen weans negotiating better over XBox One game trade ins in my local Game.

 

Well in reality you haven't 'seen' any of our negotiations.

Not too long ago people were arguing we shouldn't offer more than 3 million cause Villa paid 2.5. Now it's apparently embarrassing that our 4th bid is the first over 3 million. I want the deal over the line as much as anyone, but I atleast appreciate that these things aren't as simple as they seem

 

These things take time, how long ago did the pogba to utd story break? It's the nature of transfers these days. There can be a lot of to and fro between the clubs.

Villa have allegedly moved the goalposts several times after us meeting a valuation so it may not be down to our side of things.

If anything we should be happy that our board are still pursuing a player because the manager really wants him. They're probably looking at paying 50-60% more than they initially thought they would have to, but still trying to bring him in because he's the man that Brendan wants. To me, that's a good thing

 

We have been * at doing transfers for years because of penny pinching. I think Sinclair is worth more than £3million and have never said otherwise.

And 'seen' was a joke. Like a humorous play on words

 

The papers just make up *, they don't have a clue what's going on.

 

Of course they take time, but come on mate. Rodgers has said he wants another 4 players, and by all accounts we have been chasing Sinclair since around the start of the window. We're running the risk of going into the final qualifier, should we get there, with only two new first team signings - one is inexperienced and has hardly kicked a ball since signing, and the other isn't fit yet.

We need to get the finger out and make some signings, instead of haggling over a few hundred thousand. Particularly when we've spent next to nothing so far.
